Position Description: Team Manager Brisbane Bullets Commencement Date: Expiry Date: August 1 2017 April 30 2018. Role Description 1. The Team Manager is part of the Bullets staff structure and plays an important role in the success of the Team and the Club. 2. The Team Manager is a volunteer role working with the Brisbane Bullets team to assist in the professional delivery of practice sessions, home games and road trips. 3. The Team Manager will be required to attend all practice sessions and manage logistics for the session under the instruction of the coaching staff. 4. The Team Manager will attend all Home games and provide support for the coaching team and players and manage required team logistics. 5. The Team Manager will travel with the team for all Away games and manage travel logistics for the team on all road trips. 6. The Team Operations and Community Development Executive is responsible for all travel planning and bookings, and will provide all necessary information to the Team Manager prior to each trip. Benefits - $5,000.00 honorarium towards personal expenses. Reimbursement of fuel costs and other additional costs incurred in the performance of the role. Provision of mobile phone and calling/data plan for use in performance of the role. Flights, accommodation and meals for all 14 Away games during the season and any required Playoff games. Allocation of Team clothing. 2 complimentary tickets for all home games. 2 complimentary tickets to the MVP Awards Dinner. Invitations to all Team and Staff events. Access to gymnasium and pool facilities at Clem Jones Centre. Position Description – Team Manager Practice Games Travel General Complete set up 30 minutes prior to practice (clean court, water containers filled with water/hydrate, towels, clock running) During practice – maintain a presence, keep water bottles filled, work the scoreboard, etc. Post practice: have recovery drinks ready for guys, help with pack down, have recovery food/drinks organised/available Liaise with Coaching Staff, Medical team and Office Staff – duties as required. Set Up locker room 90 minutes prior to game (lay out uniforms, towels, water containers, water bottles, photos, etc.) Manage bench (including staff) during game Post-game recovery protocols – help with preparation of drinks. Collect team uniforms and organise for them to be cleaned Liaise with Team Operations and Community Development Executive and ensure all logistical details for travel are in place (flights, hire cars, meals, away venue logistics, ticketing requests) Ensure program is professionally run on the road (food is adequate, exit rows, smooth transitions) Contribute in a positive manner to the culture of the team Be prepared to sacrifice for the good of the team Adhere to, and be prepared to uphold, the professional and agreed standards of the team. Be proactive and able to take initiative – working always for the good of the group and club.
