And since one game won’t be enough, there are rules for TEN GAMES TO PLAY using the Tapple 10 cards. Get ready for fast paced fun, times 10. Play: Choose a player to flip the top card of the stack to the letter side, placing it next to the stack, revealing a letter and color. The color of the letter determines which of the four categories on the top card of the stack to use. Immediately, HE AT T E IC OFF HE ON T H B E AC PET S NAM E all of the players race to name a word that starts with the revealed letter AND fits within that category. The first player to shout out a correct answer collects the card. That player then flips the next card to start a new round. In the case of a tie, or if no one can think of an answer, discard that card and reveal a new letter. “C A R ROTS ” IN A AD SA L Win: First player to collect 10 cards wins. 2 2+ 5-7m Rake ’em In 2+ 2+ 1+ 5-7m5-7m 7m Setup: Stack the cards in the center of the table, category side up. Select a player 2+ to go first.5-7m Players take turns in clockwise order. Play: Start timer. First player flips top card to reveal 5-7m 2+and must shout letter and color, an answer to the correlating category that starts with revealed letter in order to collect the card. That player keeps flipping over cards and shouting out answers until time runs out. He or she collects the cards answered. Discard all cards that could not be answered. Turn passes to the next player who restarts the timer and begins. Win: After 3 rounds, the player with the most cards wins. 3 5-7m 2+ Four in a Row 5-75-7 m m 10 m 2+ 2+ 1+ Setup: Players take turns in clockwise order. Line up 4 cards category side 2+up with the5-7m center question mark facing the active player. Play: Start timer. First player flips over the top card of the 5-7must m 2+and color, and deck to reveal letter shout an answer to the correlating categories on each of the four cards. For each correct answer in a category collect the card. Reset the game for the next player. Line up 9 cards category side up in the center of the table. Choose a player or team to go first. 5-7the m top card of the stack to reveal Play: 2+ Start timer. Flip letter and color. Within the remaining time the player must shout out a correct answer to the correlating category. That player must quickly flip over both the card and the timer over. This starts the next player’s turn with a new letter color combination. Keep playing until time runs out on one side. The last player to answer wins the round. Note: If you successfully answer all 9 cards before time runs out, reset cards and play a new round. Win: The first player to win 2 rounds wins the game. 5 2+ Head 5-7m to Head 2+ 2+ 2 5-7m 75-7 mm Setup: Let sand fall in timer until roughly half of the sand is on both the top and bottom, then tip the sand timer on its side. Stack cards in center of the table category side up. Play: Start timer. First player flips a card to reveal letter 5-7 m player must and color. Within the 2+ remaining time the shout out a correct answer to correlating category. Quickly collect the card, and flip the timer over. Players continue answering, collecting, and flipping until time runs out on a player. That player must give one of their collected cards to the other player plus the card they missed on. Reset the timer and continue play. Win: The first player to collect 10 cards wins. 6 2+ 5-7m Scramble 2+ 2+ 2+ 5-7m7 5-7 mm Setup: Each round, count out two cards per player PLUS one extra card. Scatter2+ those cards category 5-7m side up in the center of the table. Play:Flipthetopcardofthestacktorevealaletterandcolor.Players simultaneously race to shout out correct answers to any of the 5-7 m 2+ category cards scattered on the table, grabbing the cards as they answer. Continue until all cards are collected. If all players get stuck and some category cards remain unclaimed, flip over another card to reveal a new letter and color until the cards are claimed. Win: After 3 rounds, the player with the most cards wins. 7 2+ 5-7m Alpha Build 2+ 2+ 1+ 5-75-7 m m 20 m Setup: Spread all cards letter side up on the table. Each player takes 4 letters to spell a word, color does not 5-7m 2+ matter. For younger players, spell a 3 letter word. For more of a challenge, spell a 5 letter word. Play:2+ Select a player tomstart. Take turns placing any letter 5-7 still in the center of the table on top of one of the letters of your word your word to make a new word. Example: If your starting word is N E W T adding an A on top of the W it would become N E A T. On your next turn, you could place the letter S to spell the word S E A T. If you cannot make a word with the letters available, you are out of the game. Win: The last player to be able to make a word wins. + 8 5-7m Countdown 2+ 2+ 1+ 5-7m5-7m 3m Setup: Players start with 10 cards stacked letter side up in front of them. Place 5-7m side up in the 2+one card category center of the table, this will start the discard pile. Play: All players simultaneously race to get rid of the top 5-7mby shouting out a corresponding letter 2+ card in their stack answer to the matching category on the top card of the discard pile. As they answer, players will flip their card onto the discard pile. This will continually change the categories throughout the game. Often more than one player will put a card on the discard pile at the same time. The player with the bottom-most card leaves their card on the discard pile, all other players return their cards to the top of their stack. Win: First player to get rid of all their cards wins. + 9 Last Man Standing 5-7m 2+ 2+ 2+ 5-7m5-7m 10 m Setup: Stack the cards in the center of the table with the category side up. Select2+ a player to start. 5-7m Players take turns in clockwise order. Play: First player flips a card to reveal letter and color, 5-7amcorrect answer to the correlating and2+ must shout out category. Next player must think of a different answer (still using same letter and category). When a player cannot think of an answer, he or she is out for the round. Play continues using the same letter and color until only one player remains. That player collects the card. Reveal a new letter and color and all players are back in the game for another round. Win: First player to collect 3 cards wins. 10 5-7m Under Pressure 2+ 2+ 1+ 5-7m5-7m 10 m Setup: Stack the cards in the center of the table with 2+ to start.5-7m the category side up. Select a player Players take turns in clockwise order. Play: Start timer. First player flips a card to reveal a letter, 5-7out m a correct answer ignoring the color,2+ and must shout to all four categories in time to collect the card. If a player cannot answer in time, the card remains. Turn passes to next player, who resets the timer and flips a new card. The player answering correctly collects all the cards in the pile.
