Finalizing Classes
• Pace yourself during finals and finals week
• Send those who played a part in your semester thank you
emails/notes (Ex. Professors, TAs, supportive staff)
• Ask professors when final grades will be posted
• Track your unofficial transcript
• File notes, papers, etc. in a safe place
• Decide what to do with your books
• Do you need to return them?
• Do you want to sell them?
• Will you need the book again in the future?

Preparing for the Upcoming Semester
•
Make sure you are registered
• Veterans: fill out the enrollment certification form ASAP
•
Check your book list and start shopping early
•
Reach out to professors, resources you know you have/need
•
Check with Bursar’s to see if anything is outstanding
•
Double-check that living arrangements are secured
• Parking pass
•
Map out a schedule for June, July, and August
• Include classes, syllabus information, vacations, jobs, internships, deadlines, etc.
•
Check NIU Master Calendar for events and updates
• Graduating in Fall 2017? Register for commencement ASAP
•

Catching Up on Self-Care
• Enjoy your summer!
• Reset your natural clock
• Take a step back from the caffeine intake
• Plan for adequate sleep and stick to the plan
• No unnatural light and/or electronics before bed
• Naps- keep it between 20 and 30 minutes
• Reconnect with family and friends
• Spend time outdoors
• Don’t do the most- simplicity is key
