ABOUT THE EVENT
We will be holding a Memorial Soccer game in order to remember and
celebrate the life of Air Force Technical Sergeant Brian Theobald. Brian
served 9 years in the United States Air Force and completed 2 tours in Iraq.
Brian was a Castle Shannon Native who devoted his life to serving his
country. On July 21, 2015 Brian lost his battle to PTSD. He is survived by a
Wife, a 5-year-old daughter, sister, brother, parents and an endless
amount of relatives and friends. Brian was an avid soccer player and fan.
His friends and family would like to lace up and play a friendly game of
soccer to remember a great father, husband, son, brother and friend. We
will be selling T-shirts to help raise money and accepting donations. By
remembering Brian’s life we help raise awareness for all those fighting the
battle with PTSD and give thanks to those who have fought and continue
to fight for our freedom.
ABOUT OPERATION TROOP APPRECIATION
Operation Troop Appreciation seeks to “ build and sustain the morale and
well being of the military community, past and present, with the assurance
that the American public supports and appreciates their selfless service
and daily sacrifices.” As a current member and volunteer, Brian’s sister
Jessica offers her time to help provide services to troops and their families.
She has been involved in many events including taking veterans Christmas
shopping for their children, packing and shipping care packages
overseas, setting up apartments for veterans, and countless other events
meant to help soldiers present and past. Operation Troop Appreciation
works as a non profit and all benefits from this event will be donated to this
great program.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
In hopes of raising money for Operation Troop Appreciation, we are
asking for food donations to help feed guests while participating in the
event. We are expecting approximately 100 guests and would be grateful
for any donations possible. To show our gratitude for your donation, your
establishment name will be placed on a banner that will be displayed at
the event. This event is a great way to advertise for your establishment
and help us raise money for an incredible cause.
