Judging: The Open Barrow Show will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The Henry County Costume Special
will begin at 1 p.m. (It will start at this time regardless of the progress of the Open Barrow Show.) After the Henry County
Costume Special Show is over, the Open Barrow Show will resume where it left off. Entries close on June 12, 2017 at
5 p.m. or postmarked by this date. Absolutely No Late Entries! No refunds will be made on entry fees.

Swine Exhibition Health Rules For 2017: Health Regulations WILL be enforced!
*** All animals must be ear notched or ear tagged so they are individually identifiable.***
1. For Non-Quarantined Swine Farms/Individuals – CVI and 840 Federal ID Tag must be issued within 90 days prior to
exhibition date.
2. Quarantined herds/farms/individuals – Swine from pseudorabies (PRY) quarantined herds are NOT allowed to
exhibit regardless of whether or not the show is terminal or non-terminal.
3. All Swine must be accompanied by a health certificate issued within 90 days prior to exhibition.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
Rule 1 Weigh-in for all swine will be Monday, June 19, 2017 starting after help weigh in to noon and 1 - 4 p.m. No pigs
may arrive on the fairgrounds before 6 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017. Swine may leave the fairgrounds after the
open show or Jr. Show. All other hogs must be off the fairgrounds by 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017.
Rule 2 When coming to the fair, all swine should enter the northeast gate of the fairgrounds. Health certificates must
accompany all swine.
Rule 3 Barrows and gilts will not exhibit against each other in any classes.
Rule 4 Classes will be divided by weight according to number of entries.
Rule 5 Barrows, market gilts and breeding gilts must weigh between 190 - 285 lbs. (hogs will be weighed only once).
Rule 6 Health papers must be turned in to the Fair Office upon arrival.
Rule 7 Any pigs not meeting stated weights WILL NOT have the opportunity to show in ANY class (except showmanship).
Additional pigs may be brought as substitute entries for those disqualified by weight and must meet the same
health requirements.
Rule 8 All livestock tie-outs and trucks, trailers, etc., must park in the North lot or you forfeit your premiums.
Rule 9 4-H and Junior Barrows are eligible for the Open Barrow Show if proper entry fees are paid.
Rule 10 Barrows and gilts shown in Tuesday’s Open Show only will be released immediately after the show.
Each exhibitor is responsible for the removal of their animals from the fairgrounds!
Rule 11 Due to the high cost of postage, all premium checks are to be picked up in the Secretary’s Office before the
exhibitor leaves the fairgrounds. If the check is not picked up, the exhibitor will forfeit their premium check to the
Fair Association. A social security number is required for the release of the check. If you would like your check
mailed to you, please bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Secretary’s Office by 5 p.m. Sunday, the
last day of fair.
