Invitation to Cumbria Junior Development Centre - Girls
You have been invited to attend the Cumbria Junior Development Centre (JDC). This is the first step for you on the
England Hockey Player Pathway and as such you must attend a Junior Development Centre if you want to be
considered for selection into a Junior Academy Centre (JACs replace the old County Squads). The Junior Academy
Centre will run from January to April 2017 and will have up to 30 players per age group. Players are not obliged to attend
JAC if selected
The Cumbria Junior Development Centres are for players at various age groups and will run in the North and South of the
county, they are open to players keen to improve their hockey skills with players attending the centre which is most convenient
to them. The centre dates, times and venues are detailed in the table below.
Please note that centres are grouped on Year of Birth not School Year - please attend the correct centre.

Young players with potential from local schools and clubs have been invited to attend this development opportunity. The
Centre is being led by qualified coaches appointed by Cumbria County Hockey Development Group. The sessions will include
hockey skills and game play. When you attend the JDC please ensure that you arrive changed and bring with you suitable
clothing including waterproofs, and if necessary a change of clothing, please do not wear your School hockey shirts. You will
need a stick, shin pads and gum shield and appropriate footwear (astro turf shoes) along with drinks (not fizzy) and snacks. If
you are a goalkeeper please ask your PE teacher or club if you can borrow a set of kit for each session, if you do not have your
own.
REGISTRATION
All players need to use the England Hockey Single System online registration system. In order to complete your
registration you need to access the following link: www.ehbplayersystem.co.uk.
Please read through the information in the separate attachment before commencing your online registration.
To start your registration please click on the ‘register’ button and enter all of the required details. If you are already registered
on the system please log in and check your details are correct, tick the consent boxes then print the consent form and return
as below. Please note you must print off your form to activate the system.

Once you have completed your online registration and it has been verified by England hockey,
please print off your details/ consent form from the online system, get your parent/guardian to sign
it and then return it in the post along with payment (cheques made payable to Cumbria County
Hockey Development Group) to

by Friday 16th September. Thank you.
NOTE: Players with a 2004 birth date may have received an email from England Hockey inviting them to
attend Under 14 JDC. This in incorrect and players should attend their correct age group sessions.
If you have already been attending the JRPC (Junior Regional performance Centre) you do not need to attend
the JDC, but you are welcome to do so if you want the extra coaching. If you attended the JRPC assessment
but were unsuccessful you need to attend the JDC if you want progress to the JAC after Christmas.
