imagination and creativity while maintaining a total
commitment to their artistic growth.
MATERIALS FOR THE CAMPS
A detailed supply list will be sent by email once the
student is registered.
Game Design Boot Camp
For teenagers between the ages of 15 to 17.
The Game Design Boot Camp gives students the skills and
knowledge to explore the exciting world of gaming and
learn to produce their own works. It is designed for
teenagers who love games, are interested in interactive
digital media and want to learn about the game design
process.
Campers can expect to be intellectually and creatively
challenged in a positive, energetic environment. They will
gain an overall knowledge of the game development
process. The camp introduces fundamental concepts of
game design with both physical and digital tools. Over the
course of the two weeks, campers will learn how to design
a game, create a prototype, use player feedback, and
make their own game using the Construct 2 Game Engine.
The camp includes hands-on activities, time in computer
labs, and outings in the Montreal area (e.g., outdoor
games, industry visits, etc.).
On the last Friday of the camp, at 4:00 p.m. we will hold
an exhibition/playtest of students’ work (family and
friends are welcome).
