COURT BOOKING RULES FOR COACHES 1. COACH ACCOUNTS ON COURT BOOKING SYSTEM Tennis Coaches have a ‘Tennis Coach’ login account to use for booking private coaching sessions which gives them priority booking. They MUST use this account to book all coaching sessions. Tennis Coaches who are Club members also have a ‘Full Tennis’ login account to use for booking courts for their personal use, i.e. NOT for coaching. This account is a standard member account. An example is shown below of the two accounts. Member Name Membership Type 2. COACHING COURTS Courts which may be used for coaching: a) Caged Acrylic - Court 12 b) Singles Clay - Court B11 c) Indoor Doubles - Courts B9 & B10 in airdome (from start Oct to End Apr) and Court S8 - Sports Hall Peak vs Off Peak times Off-Peak - Mon to Fri: 8am-6pm Peak - Mon to Fri: 6pm-10.30pm Sat & Sun: 6pm-10.30pm Sat & Sun: 8am-6pm Caged Acrylic - 12 Coaches are permitted to coach private lessons on the caged acrylic court at any time on any day of the week. There is no booking fee. Singles Clay – B11 Coaches are permitted to coach private lessons on the singles clay court at all off-peak times and the following peak times: Mon-Fri: 6-7pm Sat-Sun: 11am-2pm There is no booking fee from start May to end September whilst dome is down. From start October to end April a booking fee will apply. Page 1 of 3 http://thewimbledonclub.mycourts.co.uk/ COURT BOOKING RULES FOR COACHES Indoor Doubles Courts – B9, B10, S8 Coaches are permitted to coach private lessons on an indoor doubles court (either of the doubles clay courts in the airdome from October-April inclusive, or the Sports Hall) at off-peak times provided no more than two indoor courts are being used for coaching at any one time. There is always a booking fee for these courts. 3. BOOKING COURTS Coach Login Account - Priority Booking Using their ‘TENNIS COACH’ login account coaches will be able to book the above courts 28 days in advance whilst members can only book courts 7 days in advance. If a coach books within 7 days of a session, they do so in competition with members (i.e. it is first come first served). Court Booking Fees There is no booking fee for the caged acrylic court 12. From start October to end April there is a booking fee for the singles clay court. There is always a booking fee for the indoor courts. At off-peak times the coach court booking fee is half the standard member booking fee i.e. £3 per hour for the singles clay, £6 per hour for a doubles court. At peak times the coach court booking fee is the same as the standard member booking fee i.e. £10 per hour for the singles clay, £20 per hour for a doubles court. Indoor Court Doubles (1.5hrs) Singles (1hr) Peak Member £20 £10 Peak COACH £20 £10 Off Peak Member £12 £6 Off Peak COACH £6 £3 The coach may pass not more than HALF of their booking fee onto their client at all times e.g. Off Peak Coach Charge for Doubles court is £6 -> £3 added to the cost of the lesson. Booking an Indoor Court Outside the Above Times Coaches are not permitted to book indoor courts for coaching outside the above times (i.e. no booking Mon-Fri after 7pm, Sat-Sun between 8-11am or between 2-5pm) EXCEPT AFTER 9AM ON THE DAY OF THE SESSION REQUIRED, when coaches may book a court for coaching within these peak hours provided no more than one indoor court is used for coaching at these times. Page 2 of 3 http://thewimbledonclub.mycourts.co.uk/ COURT BOOKING RULES FOR COACHES e.g. if an indoor doubles court session at 7.30pm on Monday 21st Nov is unbooked at 9am on Monday 21st Nov, a coach can book the session. 4. MEMBERS BOOKING COURTS FOR COACHING Members may book courts for coaching at any time under their own standard member login accounts which allow booking up to 7 days in advance. If this is the case then coaches may coach the member on the court and the rules above cease to apply. 5. ADDITIONAL POINTS a) Court bookings for all aspects of the junior and adult tennis programmes and team matches i.e. where multiple court bookings are required in advance for groups, will be booked by the system administrator Karen Dervish b) In particular, the booking of indoor courts for Holiday or Half Term Courses MUST be approved in advance by the Tennis Committee and will be added to the system by the system administrator c) If there is low attendance for a course or a programme session is cancelled, any unused courts must be released, coaches must let the system administrator know as soon as possible so that the sessions may be freed up in the system for members to book. d) Any cancellation of existing private member bookings for coaching purposes MUST be approved by the Tennis Committee, this CANNOT be authorised by a Coach alone. e) Please note that ‘TENNIS COACH’ account indoor court bookings are subject to the same cancellation and refund policy that applies to other members i.e. to avoid loss of booking fee the court must be cancelled by 12 midday 2 days before the session is due to take place.
