Minutes: Finance: The league’s Treasurer reported that all members had paid their yearly subscription and that the current balance as at 1st April 2014 was £10,955.97 The member clubs were also informed of the leagues’ new bank details should any member wish to pay online. Changes/amendments in the handbook 2014: The member clubs were informed of the current changes in the hand book as well as the new proposals which were passed at the AGM. Administration – Player Registration, Telephone, Score sheets & Team cards: The chair stressed that member clubs should adhere to the leagues constitution, procedures & protocols. The scoresheets that were returned incomplete to the Leagues Secretary was a major issue last season. Hence if a club fails to return the scoresheets fully complete, they will be fined as per the rules. Sponsorships – Fastrack Claims & Yasmin and Shahid: The Chair thanked Naheem (League Secretary) for his hard work during the winter to secure sponsorship with Yasmin & Shaid Solicitors for the League Cup, and also Fastrack Solutions for the League itself for season 2014. Cricket Balls: The executive committee has taken responsibility to supply the balls to the member clubs at a subsidised price, as opposed to the tender in past. All teams barring two have made the payment prior to collection, for a minimum of 18 balls. The Premier Section will use the READERS SOVERIGN & the Section A Groups 1 & 2 will use READERS COUNTY MATCH. QEASCL New Website: Again the Chair appraised Naheem for taking the task to review the leagues website & upgrade to a modern look. The website is live, however player registration pages & members area are still under construction and hopefully should be ready prior to season kick off. The chair thanked GHCCC for the accommodation. In total 15 candidates attended the course. Umpiring appointments – Mohammed Jawed: All umpire appointments will be managed by Mohammed Jawed and it is important that member clubs refer to the monthly umpire’s appointments list to follow up with the appointment. This should be done no later than on Thursday’s to ensure the umpire is still available. In addition the chair has confirmed the committee are hoping to hold an Umpire’s General Meeting prior start of the season to refresh their knowledge of the current QEASCL rules, as we now have 55+ umpires registered with the league.
