When the Gadget Island is being played in a group with adult guidance, the Guided group game should be opened on
the children’s devices. In the group game version, the children can play all 8 sub-games and get personal feedback on the
games. The normal version of the game is projected from the instructor’s device onto the wall. The game features a pause
button that can be used in group game situations.

The game is opened normally on the instructor’s device (which is to be projected onto the wall), as described above.
Guided group game is opened on the children’s devices, as described above.
At the start of the game, the group follows the game projected onto the wall together.
When the initial story finishes, the whole island with subgames will be visible on the instructor’s device too.
During the game:
5) The subgames should be played in the set order (1–8).
6) First, the adult opens the game (number 1) so that the group can listen to the instructions together. When the group
has finished listening to the instructions, the children open the subgame and play it independently. The adult also plays
the game. After playing the game, the adult stops the progress of the game by pressing the pause button, and waits
until all the children have played the game. (The children can play the game several times, if there is time).
7) When all the children have played the game, watch the end of the game and the narrative section between games
together. The narrative sections come after some of the games.
8) The adult opens the next subgame (game number 2) first to listen to the instructions. Proceed in the same way as
before: listen to the instructions together, after which the children play the game themselves. Proceed in the same way
until the end of game 8.
9) Solve the mystery of the mill when all the games have been played. The lock at the top of the mountain will open, and
the ending is reached and can be watched together.
In games 4 and 6 there are questions that provide a good point to stop and think together, before going on to the next
game. During the game it is good to stop now and then to discuss the things experienced. You can return to the main
overview of the island by clicking the map symbol in the top right corner. If you forget what you have to do during a
subgame, advice from Doctor Hoot is available at the bottom right of the screen. If the game crashes, you can return to the
game by reloading the page and clicking Continue game.
The ending of the game will appear just once after the game has been played. After this the subgames can be played
without the narrative sections. If the game is started from the beginning and played all the way through, the ending will be
shown again. The ending, like the other narrative sections, will therefore only be shown on the instructor’s device.
