MAKE YOUR MEETINGS TAKE OFF WITH STAMFORD 2017
This competition is a promotion by Stamford Hotels and Resorts [ABN: 35 067 139 208] – Suite 222, Stamford Plaza
Sydney Airport, Corner of Robey & O’Riordan Streets, Mascot NSW 2020 (“Promoter”).
Entries and information on prizes and how to enter form part of these terms and conditions (“Terms”).
TERMS
1. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms are automatically ineligible. Participation in this
competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. This offer is open to meeting planners, professional conference organisers and travel agents over the age of
18 who are permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand. Directors, managers and employees of
Stamford Hotels and Resorts and companies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families
are not eligible to participate.
3. The entry period commences on Thursday, 1st June 2017 and closes at 11.59 pm AEST on Saturday, 30th
September 2017.
4. There will be one winner in this competition chosen at random from eligible entries. The Promoter’s decision
is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. The winner will be determined as the person who signed the agreement to hold the event at the Stamford
Hotel where the event was held.
6. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to determine if they are permitted to accept the prize under the
policies of their workplace. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of accepting the
prize.
7. If the winner is not permitted to accept this prize due to workplace policies, there will be additional draws to
find an eligible winner.
8. The offer is valid for all new conferences, meetings or events booked, confirmed and held between
Thursday, 1st June 2017 and Saturday, 30th September 2017. at any Stamford Hotel and Resort with a
minimum expenditure of $2000 (local currency) – excluding audiovisual.
9. Events booked outside these dates are not eligible for entry.
10. Expenditure may be a total of meeting or accommodation expenditure that is charged to a master account.
Audiovisual expenditure cannot be included in the expenditure total.
11. School Formals, Wedding Receptions and other social events are not eligible for this promotion.
12. More than one entry per person is permitted if there is more than one event booked during the entry
period; however, only one entry per event booking is permitted and only prize will be awarded.

13. Excluding entry into the draw, the prize cannot be claimed until final payment for the event is made in full.
14. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the
opinion of promoter, is an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions of entry or who
has, in the opinion of promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent,
misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promotion and/or
promoter. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if the promoter becomes aware that the
winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
PRIZES
The winner will receive the following prize, to the value of AUD3000, comprising of:

Two night’s accommodation for up to two people in one room at a Stamford Hotel of the prize winner’s
choosing. Stamford Hotels being o Sir Stamford at Circular Quay

Two return economy flights flying Virgin Australia from the prize winner’s nominated capital city to the city
the Stamford Hotel is located. Capital cities are defined as o Sydney
o Brisbane
o Melbourne
o Adelaide
o Auckland
1. The prize does not include travel insurance, in-room dining, video, telephone, mini bar, parking or other
incidentals. Any costs in excess of the inclusions noted in these terms are the sole responsibility of the prize
winner. The prize winner will be required to present a credit card at the time of check-in to guarantee
potential incidental costs.
2. The prize does not include transport or airfares to and from the hotel. The prize winner shall bear any
related additional costs travelling to the hotel.
3. The Prize must be taken as a two night experience as booked by the Promoter and is based on the maximum
of two people travelling at all times.
4. Prize components may alter at the discretion of the Promoter. Any change in the value of the prizes between
the publishing date and the date that the prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
5. The prize must be redeemed before 30 April 2018 and is subject to availability at time of booking.
6. The competition prize will not be redeemable during New Year’s Eve or other special event days.
7. The prize (or any part thereof) is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or credit.

The prize winner will be drawn at Midday, Wednesday 4th October 2017 [AEST] at Stamford Hotels and Resorts
Corporate Head Office Suite 222, Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport, Corner of Robey & O’Riordan Streets, Mascot NSW
2020 and announced at 3 pm the same day via the stamford.com.au website and social media channels. The winner
will be contacted via their contact details as used to book the event.
The winner will be notified via the contact details used to book the event at the hotel.
If the competition winner is not contactable within 48 hours of the draw, a second draw will occur. In the event that
a redraw is required, it will be held on Thursday 8th September 2017 in the Promoter’s office, and the redraw winner
notified via contact details.
All entries become the property of the Promoter.
The information that entrants provide will only be used by the Promoter for the purpose of administering the
competition. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their contact details for the purpose of
notifying competition winners. The Promoter will not use or disclose entrant’s personal information to any third
party in accordance with its privacy policy.
If, for any reason this competition is not capable of being conducted by the Promoter as intended, whether because
of computer virus, mobile phone failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any
other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter which in the Promoter’s opinion affects the
administration of the competition, security, fairness or integrity, the Promoter may, in its sole discretion, cancel,
modify or suspend the competition.
The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the
prize or entering into this competition. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality,
suitability or merchantability or any goods or services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the
Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate
or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the
supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying
the prize winner.
By accepting the prize, the competition winner and their guest agree to have their names and photos published on
the promoter’s Social Media accounts and other media as determined by the promoter.
