Aim
In support of the continuing development of the women and girls game, girls rugby activity will take place at St
Machar. The community taster events will aim to meet the needs of players at whatever level, to give them a
safe environment to try out; all that rugby has to offer.
Event Overview
P6 and P7 players are invited to attend the event taking place from 3:30- 4:30pm. All are encouraged to enjoy
the experience and attend the following sessions if they so wish.
The girl’s session is split into three sections:

Warm Up

Scottish Rugby’s Key National Theme Training

Game type scenarios with Key National Themes
Registration Instructions
All players must return emergency contact form to Active Schools before the event.
Notes to Players
Players should wear studded boots for all practical sessions. Trainers can be worn if no studded boots
available.
Players should ensure they bring sufficient fluids for the day. There will NOT be any provided by Scottish
Rugby.
All players should have a warm top to train in for the warm up periods.
There are limited changing facilities to allow players to get changed before and after the girls event. These are
just along the road at Harlaw playing fields.
Mouth guards should be worn by all girls, if possible as contact will be introduced. There will NOT be any
available on the day.
Players should not wear wired bra’s.
Players must ensure that they remove all hard hair pieces for all practical sessions.
All Jewellery must be removed for practical sessions.
