Browses




Browses provide a method of displaying some or all of a particular
data set.
QAD provides canned browses as well as providing a tools for you
to create your own browses.
A Browse can be a stand alone program or it can be attached to a
field – also known as a drill down.
A lookup can be attached to a field. It can return a value to a
selected field.
Basic Sales Order Detail Browse
Click Search to retrieve browse results based on criteria

Filters and Operators

Click + to add another selection field

Range allows the user to use the “From”/”To”
functionality typical in a QAD Report.

Click x to remove an existing selection field

 Toggle variable mode
allows you to change your
user entered criteria into system criteria.
Date fields offer options such as
“Today”, “Yesterday”, “Tomorrow”

The last item in the field selection box is “Search for”
If you select this field, it will search every field that is displayed in your browse for
whatever criteria you enter, and highlight the results in yellow.

Filter option (funnel to right of column heading)
 Drag / Drop column headings to re-arrange
 Right click column heading, select hide column to
remove the column from the display
 Like Excel, you can change column width by dragging

