Please provide a brief description of all pride-themed items to be sold at the 2017 Lexington Pride Festival.
These items MUST be pre‐approved by the Pride Festival Committee. Any items deemed by the Pride Festival
Committee to be in competition with official Pride Festival merchandise shall not be permitted:
Please note that the Lexington Pride Festival Committee reserves the right to prohibit the sale of any items
it deems to be in competition with its own merchandise or otherwise in violation of the guidelines
contained in this application, at any time, including during the day of the Pride Festival.

Vendor Rules:
Applications/Booths


All Applications will require the approval of the Pride Festival Planning Committee.
Every attempt will be made to honor booth requests, but no guarantees will be given. Vendors will
receive a confirmation letter but booth assignments will not be released until the morning of the
festival upon check-in.
 No application will be sent to the Committee for approval until payment is received.
 No applications will be accepted after June 10th, 2017
 Cancellations for full refunds will be accepted in writing until May 15th, 2017. No refunds will be
issued after this date!
 This is a child friendly event. Exhibiting or selling merchandise that depicts human genitalia or
sexual acts is strictly prohibited. Any such merchandise will be confiscated immediately.

Setup and Equipment
 This event is RAIN OR SHINE. No refunds will be given for inclement weather. Please plan
accordingly!
 Check‐in time for vendors is 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., Saturday June 24th, 2017. Your space may be
subject to forfeiture if not checked in by this time.
 No vehicles will be allowed in the area after 10:00 a.m.
 Booths must be open from at least 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Vendors are encouraged to remain
open until the close of the festival at 9:00 p.m.
 Driving or parking vehicles or heavy equipment on the Plaza is prohibited. Generators are also
prohibited on the Plaza grounds.
 Staking or driving any objects into the ground or trees at the Courthouse Complex Courtyard is
strictly prohibited by LFUCG regulations. Posting or affixing signs, notices, or any kind of
documents to any surface of the Courthouses or Plaza is prohibited. Flags may be displayed in free
standing frames that are not required to be anchored to the ground.

Alcohol Sales
 There will be NO ALCOHOL SALES by any vendors on the premises the day of the festival regardless
of beverage license status.

Clean‐Up and Festival Closing

Vendors are responsible for the removal of trash and debris from their space. No oils, liquids or
ANY OTHER WASTE may be left in containers or on the surface of the road, sidewalk, or grass area.
Plaza surfaces are extremely vulnerable to damage from spills of food and drinks. In the case of
spills, contact a Pride Festival staff member immediately.
 Your organization will be responsible for any fees imposed upon the Lexington Pride Festival
and/or PCSO as a result of your organization not following the aforementioned guidelines or those
mandated by the Lexington‐Fayette Urban County Government and/or Lexington‐Fayette County
Health Department.
 Do not block any entrance or exit of the Courthouses. Activities must be confined to the Plaza
areas, which do not include the covered Courthouse walkways.
 Festival site must be vacated by no later than 11:30 p.m., Saturday, June 24th, 2017.
 You MUST have a Committee member sign off on the cleanliness of your space PRIOR to 11:30 p.m.
or deposit may be held and/or additional fees may be applied. A Clean‐Up Release Form will be
given to a member of your organization.
 Failure to abide by any rules will result in forfeiture of all deposits, if any, possible removal from the
Pride Festival, and will affect the ability to participate in future Pride Festivals.

Agreement
By signing and submitting this application, I understand all the conditions, notices, and restrictions and
agree to abide by them. In consideration of being permitted to take part in the Lexington Pride Festival, I
hereby release, absolve, indemnify, hold harmless and waive all claims against the Lexington‐Fayette
Urban County Government, Pride Community Services Organization and/or the Lexington Pride Festival,
including their agents and employees for any losses or injuries of any kind whatsoever arising out of the
2017 Lexington Pride Festival.
The Lexington Pride festival is founded on a policy of providing fun and relaxation to all people regardless
of economic or social status and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnic origin, national
origin, creed, religion, political belief, sex, sexual orientation, sexual identity, perceived or actual gender,
gender expression, marital status, age, veteran status, or physical or mental disability. By signing my name
as a vendor of the Lexington Pride Festival I agree to share the same spirit of acceptance, diversity and
love to all festival-goers, Pride Committee members, Volunteers, and any other person involved with the
Lexington Pride Festival.
