Canteen Manager
Objective


Provide Canteen facilities and ensure that Canteen operations are managed efficiently to Club members & visitors on
match days and functions.
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for club members through the implementation of proper health
practices, standards in accordance with the South Australian Food Act (1985).
Responsibilities
Catering for appropriate staffing for all Canteen catering operations.
Ensure appropriate licences are held by Club and displayed as required.
To account for all purchases and sales of meals (note: in consultation with Catering Director)
Ensure a sufficient supply of food is available to meet the needs of the function held.
Implement the appropriate guidelines for proper Food Safety and Hygiene.
With the Volunteer Coordinator develop job descriptions for the volunteers working in the Canteen.
With the Volunteer Coordinator ensure induction of Canteen staff are carried out and paper based induction register
completed and kept on site
Relationships


Liaises and Reports to the Club Catering Director.
Liaises with official Club suppliers & other key stakeholders.
Accountability
 Accountable to the Club Catering Director.
 Provide a report on any aspect of the portfolio operations to the Catering Director for the monthly Committee meeting.
 Seek ratification from the appropriate Committee member prior to committing the Club to any financial expenditure or
action.

 Develop one pager for induction topics to be covered with
volunteers on game days. Induction Register to be
maintained in each area so once a person has been
inducted for the year, no more requirements.
