Kingswood 2016
Dear Parents/Carers/Guardians,
Kingswood 2016 is quickly approaching so I am writing to remind you that there will be Parent
Information Meetings on Tuesday 13th September. There will be two meetings, one at 3:25pm and one
at 6:15pm. Please come to the meeting that best suits your schedule. The children are very welcome to
attend the meeting with you.
At this meeting we will distribute the ‘Kingswood Pack’ that contains all the relevant information about
the trip. We will talk through this at the meeting and then you will be able to take it away with you to
read with your child. If you are unable to attend the meeting we will send a copy home. You will also
have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may still have.
Mrs OIding will also be at the meeting to discuss how medicines are managed at Kingswood. Children
are not allowed to be in possession of their medicines so please can all medicines, creams, calpol etc
be handed to Mrs Olding - in the office - in their original packing- by Tuesday 20th September so that
the relevant paperwork can be completed and authorised
If you are looking to organise equipment for the trip, here is a reminder of what the children will need:
Checklist
1 Bath towel, Toilet bag containing: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, hairbrush etc.
Night clothes,
Socks and underwear
5 T-shirts*/shirts
2 Thick sweaters
3 Pairs of old trousers and/or jeans and/or tracksuit bottoms
Clothes for the disco
Waterproof jacket (and trousers if you have them)
Sturdy shoes or wellingtons
2 Pairs of trainers (one old pair)
Large plastic bag for dirty clothes
Gloves, hat, scarf
Water Bottle
*Please note that most activities require long sleeves.
The coach has confirmed that it will be collecting the children from school at 12:30pm on Monday 26th
September 2016; therefore I am able to offer your children a later start on that day. If you would like to
take advantage of this you may bring your child to school at 12noon ready to be registered to board the
coach at 12:30pm. However, if you have other commitments, you can bring your child to school at the
normal time or even to breakfast club. Please may I ask that you complete the form below and return it
to the school office by Wednesday 21st September 2016.
