Event Name: CUBORITA 1ST ROUND: After the common alpha round say around 40 teams qualify and are eligible to take part in this round of Cuborita. Each team should have maximum 4 members. "Every team has to carry a protractor " It will be a pen and paper based round. Each question will have 2 parts both of whose answers will be less than 90. Along with the question paper an extra sheet will be given in which a (8*8) grid will be there with numbers written on it. The answer to each of the question will be an acute angle. The answers will be treated as angles and constructed taking base as the axis. The intersection of the angles will give the answer as shown below. Time limit is 30 min. Total marks for a question is 10(No negative marking). Case 1: If they are able to solve both the parts correctly and also the final answer after construction is correct 10 marks will be allotted. Case 2: If they are able to solve both the parts correctly but the final answer is somehow not correct 5 marks is allotted Case 3: If only one part of the question is correct, they get 2 marks. 2ND ROUND: No. of teams qualifying to this round will depend entirely on no. of participants in the 1st round. 10-15 teams will be chosen in this round. We will be dealing with Rubik’s cube in this round. Teams will be given one question at a time and each team will also be given a Rubik's cube. The answer to each of the question will be a 3 digit answer. When they get their answer they must bring their answer on Rubik’s cube either horizontally or vertically on any face. After finishing the entire thing they will be immediately call a voluteer to show it. After every such completion of a round a tabulated record of their score will be maintained according to the order of their completion of the question. After completion of of one such round we give the next question to them and this continues. Total marks for each team is recorded after one round. Case 1: If they are able to only solve the question but couldn’t bring it on the Rubik’s cube they get 5 points. Case 2: If the answer is wrong but they are able to bring it on the Rubik’s cube they get 3 points. Case 3: If the entire thing is correct they get total 10 points. We will keep on eliminating teams after every two to three rounds since 3 teams will go to the final round from this round. The total no. of of rounds will depend on the no. of teams selected in this round.A maximum of 10 rounds will be there. A maximum of 5 minutes will be given to each team to solve the question and arrange it on Rubik’s cube. If they are not able to do they have to skip that round and their score is 0. Extra rounds will be played in case of a tie. The scores of top 3 teams are noted since it will be used in the final round. FINAL ROUND (JENGA): The team who has the maximum score of the previous round will be qualifying directly to the final round. The other two teams will be playing against each other “The Battle of Jenga”.The team which wins this round plays again with the top team from the previous round and hence the final winner is declared and the second position. Players will be made to play jenga. Jenga is a game of mental and physical skill. During the game, player take turn removing one block at a time from the tower constructed of 54 blocks. Each block removed is then balanced on top of the tower, creating a progressively taller but less stable structure. The game ends when the tower falls or if any piece knocked out to move to the top. The winner is the last person to successfully remove and place a block. Each member of the team will be allowed to have a face off against the opponent team Player can use only one hand at a time, either hand may be used but only one hand may touch the tower at a time. But the block which needs to be pulled will depend on the answer which the teams have to solve. Teams will be given questions at each turn .Teams have to get an answer .Teams have to move the numbered block. If a team is unable to get the answer, volunteers will disclose the answer and they are allowed to play their turn but 5 marks will be given in that case. 10 rounds will be played and at each round scores will be counted ie. 10 blocks will be moved from their position and kept at the top. Case 1: If a team is able get the correct answer and able to move the correct block they get 10 points. Case 2: If a team gets a wrong answer or if they are unable to solve the question, they are allowed to play to play their chance( answer is disclosed) but they get 5 points. Case 3: If the jenga falls the other team is declared winner regardless of the marks Marks will only be used to break the tie if the doesn’t jenga fall even after 10 rounds.
