In the !fternoon the Company attended exercises at Huntington Beach, where th&y fired the customary salute also. The Unit marched four miles dUl'ing the day. Company F attended two annual encampments before beooming a unit of the l60th Infantry Regiment. The tir:st was held at Laveaga Park,near Santt. Crus on September 12 to 26, 1920. Lieutenant-Colonel Harold D. Coburn, United Statee .&.rmy, waa appoined commander :<?f ·the -~ eneampment. .A.ll the instructors. at the camp were Regular Army men. For fifteen ·aays Company 1 and the other units. - in the National GuArd were drilled and instructed in eveq dtftail as to what constitutea a good soldie~ and a good company. Several reviews and inspection were held during the encampment, one of which ~as for Colonel Robert Noble, United &tatee Ar~, Cheif ~ilitia officer.* The second enc~pruent was held the following year 1921, from July eleventh to twc:;nty-sixth. The c&mp site ~as on the old Camp .Ahwanee grounds below the village ot Yosemite. Like the year previous, the camp was under the leadership of Colonel H. D, Coburn, wit United Statea Army officers as. instructors.
