RULES

































FAILSWORTH VILLA FC Summer Festival is governed by the rules and regulations of the FA.
Matches will be played in conformity of the laws of the game, unless stated below.
All teams will register at least 20 minutes before their particular age group begins.
On arrival each team must have or must complete a team declaration form.
The tournament will be played on a league and finals basis.
Two leagues for each age group exist if numbers allow.
Each team will play other teams in its league once.
All Players must wear shin pads (covered by socks), relevant footwear for the 3G/Grass surface(s) (trainers,
moulded studs – no metal studs) – and a relevant strip to the rest of the team (Goalkeeper colours will differ)
(Mixed Teams) U6, U7s teams will consist of no more than 10 players.
U8 & U9s teams will consist of no more than 12 Players.
U10, 11, 12s will consist of no more than 14 players.
U13, 14, 15, 16s will consist of no more than 18 players.
(Girls Teams) U8 to 10s will consist of no more than 12 players.
U11, 12, 13,14 & 15, 16s will consist of no more than 16 players.
(Open Age) Will consist of no more than 16 Players
U6s – PLAYERS MUST BE 6 YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE.
Play will be started and restarted with a centre take.
The substitutes may ‘roll on’ and ‘roll off’ (only when play has stopped) replacing any player at any time, please
let the officials know when doing so.
Applies to all - If the Quarter, Semi’s and Final(s) are level after Full Time all games will be decided straight away
by a penalty shoot out (5 per team) to be taken by the players on the pitch at the final whistle. If still level after
the original 5 takers the rest of the team will follow in sudden death until a winner is found.
Intervals between league games have been allowed. Please make sure that you are ready to take the field of
play. Any team failing to report for a match on time (i.e. more than 3 mins late) will forfeit the game. This will
therefore be a walkover for the opposition team.
3 points will be awarded for a win, 2 point for a score draw, 1 for a no score draw with a loss registering 0.
U6, U7, U8 & U9 – will all play with a Size 3 Football. U10s upwards will play with a size 4. U15s/OA = Size 5
Photographs and videos will not be allowed to be taken of the players, unless authorised by a member of the
Failsworth Villa FC Committee. There will be a designated Photographer on site on all 4 days.
In the event that two or more clubs are level on points, goal difference will separate teams, followed by goals
scored, goals against and / or finally, the winner of the league game. If this is still level a penalty shoot out will
take place.
All free kicks are direct in mini soccer. Players, who chose to make a wall, must stand Five yards back. All corners
and throws are as per normal FA rules.
Goal keepers in Mini Soccer are allowed to throw the ball out and/or drop kick the ball out (i.e. let the ball
bounce first before kicking it). U10s+ (and girls groups) can kick out of their hands.
Pass backs are allowed in Mini Soccer ONLY. In all other formats Goalkeepers are only allowed to kick the ball
straight away. Where this rule is broken, the referee will award a direct free kick.
Goalkeepers are allowed to leave their area. But can only kick the ball not handle. If handling the ball outside the
area, a direct freekick will be awarded.
All players are allowed in the goal area.
Players who receive 2 yellow cards will miss the next game. A red card will result in expulsion for the remainder
of the tournament. All cases of misconduct will be reported to the county FA.
All 9v9 and 11v11 football will include OFFSIDES.
No players of your team should be registered or play for academy teams. This will be deemed as cheating and
your team will be excluded from the competition.
Please bring your teams I.D Cards OR Personal Player I.D for inspection on the day.

* Anyone not turning up on the day that has registered and paid will NOT be refunded.
* Player ID and proof of age should be made available for inspection on arriving.
* The players and their supporters are the responsibility of the managers / coaches of the clubs that they represent.
* The manager of FAILSWORTH SOCCER CENTRE, staff, and any committee member of Failsworth Villa FC reserve the right to ask anybody
who is deemed to be acting in an improper or unruly manner and who may be considered to be bringing the game into disrepute to leave.
* Foul and abusive language is not acceptable throughout the centres environment.
* No photography is permitted (still or video) unless agreed by the centre and opposing teams before the beginning of the event.
* The safety of children is paramount.
* All players must where shin pads and will not be allowed to play without them
* The referees’, staff of FAILSWORTH SOCCER CENTRE & Committee members of Failsworth Villa FC will have the final say in the event of
any dispute.
*All presentations will take place after the final has been concluded per age group.
* FAILSWORTH SOCCER CENTRE & Failsworth Villa FC will not accept any responsibility for any loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of
participation in or attending the football festival.
* No alcohol is permitted on the Centre premises. Anyone seen drinking will be removed immediately and may lead to the team being
removed from the competition.
* Please park either on the centre Car Park or School Car Park (DETAILS OF WHERE YOU WILL PLAY WILL BE ISSUED BEFORE THE
TOURNAMENT DATE). Not disturbing the centres neighbouring houses.
* Anyone found abusing staff members, referees or other customers of the Centre will be removed immediately and banned from any
other events at the venue.
PLEASE CAN YOU MAKE ALL PARENTS & SUPPORTERS AWARE THERE IS 2 CAR PARKS.

ANYONE PARKING OUTSIDE BOTH COMPLEXES’ ON BRIERLEY AVENUE PLEASE BE AWARE YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN
RISK. THIS IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CENTRE OR FAILSWORTH VILLA FC – AS YOU WILL GET A TICKET
OR BE CLAMPED.

Take 3rd Left onto Brierley Avenue. Soccer Centre is on the Left Hand Side
(School & Leisure Centre on the right)
There is a centre car park on site and also another car park across the road at
the school/leisure centre (in front and also round the back of Failsworth School).
