FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
ROUNDTRIP BUS TRANSPORTATTION to the EUCHARISTIC FAMILY ROSARY CRUSADE at Avista Stadium
on Sunday, July 23, 7:00pm. If you are interested in going but don’t want to deal with traffic or parking,
there will be a bus leaving from Assumption at 5:15pm. Please sign up after Mass on the weekends of July 8-9,

FALL ADULT ENRICHMENT SERIES— We’re planning a series based on Thomas Cahill’s “Mysteries of the
Middle Ages and the Beginning of the Modern World” (part of his series The Hinges of History). We will have
some presentations and discussion of the impact of those times on the modern church and faith. Everyone is
encouraged to get this book if you plan on attending any of the sessions. It is a very good and informative
book, available at Auntie’s bookstore, Powell’s Books, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.
IMMACULATE HEART RETREAT CENTER will be holding a new event - a "Spiritual Moment in Your
Summer" on Thursday, July 13, 7:30-9:00am, workshop that includes breakfast. Fr. Peter Byrne, SJ will
present "Living with One Foot Raised: Finding Peace and Joy in Our Lives" . There is no cost to attend, please
make reservations in advance by call Mike at 448-1224.
BISHOP DALY has notified all parishes that a major fundraising campaign is underway to renovate the Historic
St. Thomas Mission House in Coeur d'Alene. You are invited to attend a fundraising party at the Lake Coeur
d'Alene home and gardens of Duane and Lola Hagadone on Wed, Aug 23, 2017. Guests will board from the
east side of the Boardwalk at the Coeur d’Alene Resort at 4:30 pm and return at 7:00 pm. Cocktails and hors
d' oeuvres will be served in the gardens which features over 300,000 plants and flowers. Dress is resort casual
and don’t forget comfortable shoes! Tickets will be $100 per person or $175 per couple. 100% OF YOUR
DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE. There are also special sponsorships available for those that wish to
