5/3/16 Ride Summary

5/3/16 Ride Summary
125 Riders came out to this ride at New Franklin Community Center. The temps were in the 60’s
and it was threatening rain. Most riders got back before getting wet but others rode through a
series of short showers. Just be careful going around turns when the roads are wet and allow
more stopping time when applying your brakes. You may want to re-lube your bike chain when
you get back.
The winner of this week’s massage by Albert Heefner with Cumberland Wellness and Arts is
Robert Ziobrowski.
Next week’s ride 5/10/16 is at St Thomas Elementary School. Take Rt 30 west and go through
the red light in St Thomas. Schoolhouse Rd is the next intersection on the right. It is next to the
Fire Station.

arranged by the week and ride they were taken. Thanks to Amy Niedbala for helping me create

You have been doing a great job signing in at the rides. Also, you are looking good riding in
groups. Great job single file when a vehicle is behind you. It helps if you have a mirror on either
your bike, helmet or glasses. I do want to caution you not to yell out “CLEAR” at intersections.
Make the riders look for themselves. Don’t accept the responsibility for them.
PS: If you have not officially paid your member dues for 2016 please fill out the application at
the next ride or mail it in to the address on the form. If you are having financial difficulty, please
send me a private e-mail. We want you to ride. Thank-you.
