FROM THE CHAIRMAN:
The 2016 show proved once again that the North Devon Show is one of
the region’s favourite attractions. The weather was kind.
Our main attractions drew and entertained vast crowds around the
rings.
The 2017 Show will have the same high standard attractions to thrill the
crowds as well as our usual large marquees with a wonderful array of
food and crafts from North Devon and surrounding areas and to
promote all that is great about the wonderful area including our
livestock.
We introduced a Youth Achievement Award for 2016, which proved
very popular. The competition will run again for 2017 to encourage the
younger generation to be part of the show.
Our membership has grown in numbers since we extended the
membership area and introduced extra facilities to make it a place to
meet friends, relax, have lunch and a drink from the bar while watching
events in the main ring, a great way to spend a day.
Your membership with the Society will ensure you have an enjoyable
and memorable association with the show.

Free parking for one car in the forward members’ area,
closer to the showground.

the Main Ring and excellent cloakroom facilities.
Lunch menu available in the Members’ Marquee,
overlooking the main ring, offering members the
opportunity to purchase a buffet lunch and to eat while
watching the main ring events.
Lower exhibiting fees in livestock classes
Reciprocal agreement with Devon County Show for

The right to one vote at the Annual General Meeting

Our Single membership allows all the benefits listed above
but only free entry for the member.
Please note that a subscription is for Membership of the
North Devon Agricultural Society and in the event of a
cancelled show, the fee will not be refunded.

Our showground is completely on the level in an area of
approx. 50 acres with adjacent car parking of 42 acres set
in a plain surrounded by the rolling Devon hills.
The main aim of the show is to support agriculture and to
provide a shop window for anyone involved in the economy
of North Devon. Over the 50 years that the show has been
in existence the support of our local business community
has enabled us to build a reputation second to none.
Your support through membership is vital to us and
contributes towards the future development of our one day
show.
