Welcome to “The Most Dangerous Game!” You can choose your own pieces of the project to
do, but your total MUST EQUAL 20 points. Choose from the list below:
5 Point Ideas:



Thoroughly write a journal entry for General Zaroff explaining how he met Rainsford and why
Rainsford will be a worthy candidate for his “game.” This must contain underlined, text-based
evidence.
Write a note that Rainsford might have written to General Zaroff to find after the story if General
Zaroff wins the “game.” This must contain underlined, text-based evidence.
Create a “Missing Person’s Report” for Rainsford that a family member might have filed
(wherever Rainsfor might live). This must contain underlined, text-based information about
Ransford that you gained from the story.
10 Point Ideas:


Write an alternate ending to the story. Begin when Rainsford wakes up in Zaroff’s bed. Things to
ponder: Is Zaroff really dead? Does Rainsford stay or leave? Does Rainsford really win the
game? This must contain underlined, text-based elements from the story. (1 full page, typed)
Create 6 well-developed illustrations for the story. Somewhere on the picture, the text that leads
you to believe the illustration is correct must be quoted properly and the page number given.
Make sure the illustrations match the mood of the story.
20 Point Ideas:



Create a detailed, colorful map of the island. You’ll have to read very carefully to get the details
of the map accurate (including the information from both land and sea). Create a legend and
give your text-based reasoning behind each area on the map.
Write an entire narrative, matching the mood of “The Most Dangerous Game,” from the vantage
point of previous sailor victims of General Zaroff.
Create a fully-developed comic book version of “The Most Dangerous Game.” Make sure that the
cover gives the title and author.
