Minutes:

discussion of 2015 season. Things went well. Agreement that unified warm-up
procedures should be mentioned in the guide. 20 minutes before game begins
– 7 min. whole court (away team), 7 min. whole court (home team), 2 min.
away team serves, 2 min. home team serves. Captains meeting with official(s)
20 minutes before game time. Line-ups exchanged before game. Coin toss to
chose who serves or receives.
Championships went well at St. Michaels. One suggestion is to have
experienced line people. Set up worked well.
St. Michaels is willing to host in Fall. Saturday, November 5th is preferred date.
Discussion on whether we should look at a week night (Thursday) or possible
October 22nd. Bob J. has a meeting coming u with St. Michaels and will discuss
options.

brief discussion on use of 8th graders on volleyball teams. VPA guidelines do
allow this under a specific criteria.

discussion on the adoption of an “official” state volleyball. This ball would be
required for schools to use in the tournament. Bids were submitted by
Spaulding, Moulten, Gala and Mikasa. Discussion on bids. Consensus that the
Spaulding TF-VB3 ball be accepted as the official state ball. Final vote has to
come from the Activity Standards Committee. Bob will forward
recommendation to ASC and will follow up with bidders.

brief discussion on status of JV and varsity programs. Chris Brigham will
develop a master game schedule, so he needs to know final status of teams
soon. No further action.

Prineet Amin will continue to assign officials to games. Prineet is also in
The process of identifying/recruiting new officials. Schools need to remember
to keep Prineet in the loop if date changes are being made.

NFHS Rule Changes – no major rule changes noted. Substitutions are unlimted
during a game. Reserve 25 seconds for drop/catch.
