Rules & Regulations
FOOTBALL TEAM MEMBERS AND PARENTS
We are looking forward to working with you and your child this season. Now that your child is a member of the La Porte
Texans, it is important that you understand the rules set by Texas Intercity Football Inc (TIFI) and the La Porte Texans and
Darlings (LPTD) Booster Club.
ON THE FIELD
During practices, we ask that the parents remain off the field. The field is reserved for the players and staff ONLY. We ask
for this because we want to be able to have a successful practice each day and we feel that the players will pay attention
to instruction. We ask that during practice you DO NOT INTERRUPT unless it is an emergency. If you feel what you have
to ask cannot wait, please approach us either before or after practice and away from the players. In compliance with TIFI
Conference rules, parents are not allowed on the sidelines of the field during games. The field is reserved for Officials,
Team Members, Drill Director, Drill Staff, and LPTD Board. Anyone in violation of this rule will result in personal and club
fines form the TIFI Conference, so please help us by keeping everyone, including children behind the designated areas.
PRACTICE
The La Porte Darlings will practice at Baker 6th Grade Campus, and the Texans will practice at Little Cedar Bayou Park.
Practice starts Monday August 1st @ 6:00 PM and ends at 7:30 PM. Practice will be held every day expect Sunday for the
first 3 weeks. After the season starts, practice will be 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Thursday practice
will be from 6:00 to 8:00. Please make sure that a director or coach is on the field when you drop off your child for practice
and please be prompt when picking up your child from practice. Please NEVER leave your child unattended at a game.
EQUIPMENT
Each child will be issued necessary equipment; you are responsible for the equipment. If equipment is lost, you must
reimburse the club. This includes but is not limited to game socks and mouthpieces. All equipment issued to you must
be returned at the end of the season.
DISCIPLINARY RULES
1. If any player should miss 2 practices in one week, they are not eligible to play in that week’s game.
2. The appropriate coaches, player agent, and Athletic Director will handle all disciplinary actions.
3. All problems will be handled through the LPTD chain of command. The chain is as follows:
 Head Coach of the appropriate team
 Athletic Director
 Club President
PLEASE BE SURE TO READ YOUR RULES AND REGULATIONS. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING IN THE RULES
AND REGULATIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR.

Dear Local Business,
The La Porte Texans and Darlings is a non-profit organization that involves over 200 children in our community from ages
7 to 12. Our organization could not exist as it does without the sponsorship and generosity of organizations such as yours.
The sponsorship funds enable our organization to purchase the needed football and drill equipment and maintain the
safety of our children.
There are several children in our community that cannot afford to pay the fees to participate in our program. We rely on
the generosity of local companies and organizations to help us cover those fees. Our program supplies equipment,
insurance, and a safe place to play for the children. We don’t want any child to miss the opportunity to share this
experience due to financial obligations.
If you choose to sponsor the La Porte Texans and Darlings with a contribution of at least of $410 Football/$635 Drill, you
will receive a plaque at the end of the season thanking you for your support that you can display. Our sponsors are also
proudly listed on our website, yearbook and on a banner that is displayed at all home games. Any donation is appreciated,
however $410 Football/$635 Drill is the amount that would give a child a chance to participate.
I hope that your company will be able to help us out. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Our tax id for your records is 23-7434491. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
La Porte Texans and Darlings
