NEW ITEMS AND IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Online Roster Access
Saskatoon Adult Soccer will be using a new website starting in the 2014 outdoor season that will allow for team
contacts to edit their own rosters online right up until the player addition deadline. You will be emailed with
this information once your registration has been processed. Team contacts will be responsible for making sure
all of their players are on their roster before they play in a game.
SSA Fees and Registration
All individuals playing in the 2014 Outdoor season will be required to register themselves online and will have
to pay their SSA Registration fee before they may appear on a roster. This information will be sent to the Team
Contact after Final Alignment. The cost for each player’s registration will be $40.00 for the Outdoor season,
and that payment can be made at the time of registering via PayPal or Credit Card.
Reschedule Process
Starting in the 2014 Outdoor Season Teams will only be allowed to submit ONE Reschedule Request per season
at a cost of $50.00. Teams are also allowed and encouraged to identify one scheduling conflict on their
registration which may be considered when the schedule is created.
Game Sheets
Teams are responsible for printing out their own game sheets for each game. The game sheets can be found on
our new website, and they will be pre-populated with players that have already been added to the roster. We
understand that some team contacts will not be able to print out an up to date game sheet before every game and
may print out all 16 game sheets at once. For that reason there will be room to manually write players names
and ID numbers on the game sheets. If you are not using an up to date game sheet it is the Team Contact’s
responsibility to make sure that only players who are on the current online roster are playing in the game. Please
strike out the names of players on out dated game sheets who are no longer on your roster. Games will be
overturned and teams will be fined if they play ineligible players. Permit Players will need to be manually
added to the game sheet.
No Team Packages/Package Pick-up Nights
All necessary forms and information is available on our website: www.saskatoonadultsoccer.com. The schedule
will be available online as soon as it is finished. Instead of having Package Pick Up nights SAS will be
extending their office hours into the evening on two separate occasions in order to answer questions and offer
support with the new website.
Initial and Final Alignment
After the Initial Alignment is released teams have one week to appeal their divisional placement. Appeals
should include detailed reasoning. Final Alignment can not be appealed. SAS may refuse entry to any team who
has displayed negligent behavior in past seasons.
Playoffs
SAS will be having an end of season tournament at the completion of the outdoor season to serve as playoffs.
The tournament will take place September 6th 2014. There will be no playoffs for Co-ed or Over 50.
No Individual Stats for Coed
There will be no individual goal scoring statistics kept in any of our coed divisions. Standings will still be
tracked, but the individual goal scorers will not.
ID Clinics
On the dates and times outlined in the “KEY DATES” above, ID Cards will be made at clinics for a cost of
$10.00 per card – CASH OR CHEQUE ONLY. ID Cards can be made in office, between 10:30am and
Page 3 of 7
3:30pm, Monday to Friday, but will be sold at a premium rate of $20.00 during April and May. Again,
CASH OR CHEQUE ONLY. Please remember that no player may play in a game without a player ID card.
Late Entry Penalties
Late penalties for registration are $100 per team. Late teams will only be accepted should a spot be available.
Team Withdrawal Penalties/Refund Policy
No penalties will be charged to teams that withdraw their registration by Thursday April 3rd. The following
schedule of penalties will be in effect if a team withdraws from the SAS League after April 3rd:
Wed Apr 8 to Wed Apr 16 – Refund Fees Except for Fine of $100.00
Thurs Apr 17 to Thu May 8th – Refund Fees Except for Fine of $500
**Teams withdrawing after the beginning of the season are not entitled to any refund. However, the fine and
refund amounts will be calculated by SAS on a case by case basis.
League Fees
League fees cover the following costs: Field Rental, Administrative Costs, Referee Fees and a $100 dollar
team deposit. SSA Registration is not included in this year’s league fees and must be paid separately by each
player when they register online.
Registration Requirements
Incomplete entries are not accepted. Registrations must have all the required forms filled out, include full
payment and be submitted before the registration deadline to avoid late registration penalties. The signed Code
of Conduct Form must be handed in as part of team registration.
Age Minimum
You must be at least fifteen years of age before you can participate in any SAS sanctioned games.
Communication
You must provide accurate and legible email addresses for both team contacts. If you have not received any
emails from our office by the Initial Alignment release date, please contact the office to correct the error.
Payments
Saskatoon Adult Soccer CAN NOT ACCEPT DEBIT OR CREDIT TRANSACTIONS in office – Cash or
Cheque ONLY.
Permit Players
There is no such thing as a “pick-up” or “sub” player. In order for a player to be eligible to play on your team
they must either be registered to your team, or be registered on a team that you are allowed to permit from.
Please refer to the Rules and Regulations to see what leagues your team is able to permit from.
**Completed registrations can be emailed to [email protected], faxed
(306 975 3429) or dropped off at our office but will only be considered complete once
payment is received.**

INDOOR 2013-14 PRE ALIGNMENT ROSTER
THIS IS NOT YOUR FINALIZED ROSTER!!!! You need to add players to your online roster in order for
them to be eligible to play. This roster is strictly to aid in alignment. Teams whose final rosters differ
significantly from the pre-alignment roster may be penalized.
This Roster must be included with the Application Forms and Fees.

Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc. Code of Conduct
Forward
The purpose of the SAS Code of Conduct is to create and encourage ethical, fair treatment of all individuals and clubs that are in the
membership of the Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc. (SAS). Some of the sections of the Code are more applicable than others to certain
groups within the SAS. However all are critical to the proper organization and running of the SAS. The following Code of Conduct will apply
to all SAS members and persons participating in SAS activities.
As a member of the SAS and/or a participant you should meet the following requirements with regard to your conduct during any SAS and
therefore SSA sanctioned activity:
General Conduct of the SAS
▫ Respect the human rights, dignity and the worth of others.
▫ Be honest, fair, considerate, professional, and accept the responsibility for your actions.
▫ Be aware of, and maintain at all times the standards, rules, regulations, and policies of the SAS.
▫ Operate within the Constitution, Policies, Procedures, as well as the Rules and Regulations of the SAS, SSA, CSA, and FIFA.
▫ Understand the possible consequences of breaking the SAS Code of Conduct.
▫ Report any breaches of SAS Members to the appropriate authority.
▫ Comply with all Civic, Provincial, and National legislation that applies to the SAS.
▫ Refrain from any form of abuse towards self and others.
▫ Refrain from using any obscene language and gestures.
▫ Refrain from any form of harassment towards others.
▫ Refrain from any form of discrimination towards others.
▫ Refrain from any form of victimization towards others.
▫ Reject corruption, drugs, racism, violence and other dangers to our sport.
▫ Promote soccer in the community.
▫ Provide a safe environment for soccer to be played in Saskatoon.
▫ Show concern and caution towards others who could be sick or injured.
▫ Be a positive role model for those watching you compete
Media Relations
Do not make comments to the media, or write any comment (including website material), on behalf of the SAS
Do not speak to media in a negative fashion or publish any negative comment (including website material) regarding the SAS.
Never act in any way that may bring disrepute or disgrace to the SAS or its members, sponsors, and or potential sponsors.
Do not participate in sports betting or any form of Gambling associated with the SAS, SSA, or CSA, in which you are participating or have
been directly involved in.
Players, Contacts, Coaches, and Team, Code of Conduct
▫ Foul language and Gestures on the field is unacceptable; it only ignites anger and leads to conflict.
▫ Foul Language and Gestures, threatening behaviour at or from the sidelines is unacceptable. The team contact will be held accountable
for the actions and words of those players on the bench and especially for the teams’ fans who demonstrate unacceptable and anti-social
behaviour before, during and after a game.
▫ The team captain/contact (when same as player) should identify himself to the official at the coin toss. This individual should be
respected and responsible enough to calm down irate players and should proactively attempt to diffuse heated situations.
▫ Players must demonstrate restraint and more importantly respect for the decisions of the officials, whether they agree or disagree. The
officials are responsible for many things during a match, not the least of which is the safety of everyone (all 22 players and substitutes) at
the match. If tension persists in SAS matches we will see officials refusing to accept our matches. If availability of officials continues to
drop the SAS will need to make important decisions regarding cutting back the number of matches to suit the number of available officials.
▫ If you have a complaint about an official, PUT IT IN WRITING to the appropriate authorities. DO NOT APPROACH THE OFFICIAL
DURING OR AFTER THE MATCH.
▫ The team captain or designate should assert his/her position with the team that he/she is the ONLY person to approach the official
during or after a match to achieve clarification on a decision or rule of the match.
▫ SPORTSMANSHIP is one of the main objectives of the SAS and persistent unsportsmanlike behaviour can result in either a team or an
individual being thrown out of the SAS League. This league was founded on such sporting behaviour in 1907, and is currently the largest
adult league in the province. Continued unsporting behaviour will be dealt with in an increasingly harsher manner.
The Saskatoon Adult Soccer Inc. will assume that all of its Membership including; players, teams, clubs, referee’s, administrators,
coaches, contacts, volunteers, fans, parents or guardians, etc will all understand the possible consequences of breaching the Code of
Conduct and ensure that they abide by the Code.
Any serious breaches of this Code of Conduct, or persistent violations of any aspect of the Code of Conduct, by any of the
above may result in any of the following being imposed: Suspension, Current team bond will not be refunded, Additional team
bond will be imposed, Fines, Loss of matches, Expulsion from league, or any other form of punishment determined by the SAS
Board of Directors
