Matches will generally be played on weekends and public holidays to be completed before the next Friday. Every effort to be made to play on a Saturday or Sunday unless both parties agree to play at another agreed upon time. Tennis manager to be notified. The match schedule shall be binding on all players. Should insufficient entries be received, that section of the competition may be cancelled. A back-draw might be held should there be sufficient interest. A tournament match comprises two seven-point tie break sets, with the deciding set being a ten-point tiebreaker. Three full tie break sets will be played in the semis and finals The match schedule and order of play will be posted at reception. This is the official notice and supersedes all other notifications. Players must check this schedule; you will not necessarily be personally advised of your match. Players will forfeit their match if they do not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. Matches will be generally played all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, commencing at 9.00am. In the event of matches being cancelled due to rain, such matches will, as far as is practically possible, have to be completed during the following week, even if under floodlights. The Tournament Committee shall publish the revised order of play which shall be binding on all players. Where a player is unable to play after having entered, he/she may, at the discretion of the Tournament Committee, be replaced by another player provided that the aforementioned player has not physically played any matches in the section involved and is deemed by the Tournament Committee to be of equal or lower ranking than the person being replaced. This allowance also applies to a player who might have been seeded directly into a second round without having played a match in that section yet An injured player, or one who withdraws from the champs for whatever reason, cannot be replaced in the draw once the first round of matches in the particular event (e.g. men’s singles, ladies doubles) has commenced.
