Dear Applicant: Welcome to an exciting year at Louisiana State

Dear Applicant:
Welcome to an exciting year at Louisiana State University at EDUPRIZE! I am pleased to inform you that you have
been accepted into the graduating class of 2027! I’ll give you a little background on myself: I grew up in Palm Springs,
California but moved to Arizona in 2009. I did my undergraduate and graduate studies at ASU. When I’m not at school, I like
to eat at different restaurants, play soccer, and go swimming. After reviewing your information, I have determined that you
are exactly the kind of student that I am looking for to represent Louisiana State University at EDUPRIZE.
We will take time at the beginning of the school year getting to know each other and building relationships. I want
each of you to feel at home and safe in our classroom family. We will make new friends, read, spell, compute, and learn
cursive! I am also looking forward to having your parents volunteer in our classroom. I am excited to learn so much from
each of you, and am thrilled to teach you new concepts too! We are going to share in an exciting and busy year. This year
we will be exploring Desert Lab, Plant Nursery, Aquarium, and Exploration Station cottages. My goals are to help each
student feel important about his/her self-worth and to create a learning environment that is filled with respect,
encouragement, and friendships.
To make learning possible, it is critical for all students to come to school prepared and have proper classroom
behavior. The classroom is a learning environment, so I will expect nothing less than the best behavior from each student. It
is not fair to other students or the teacher for that environment to be disrupted when we have so many students who are
interested in learning. Therefore, it is always important students have their supplies ready, homework finished, and conduct
themselves properly not only in the classroom but everywhere in our school. Attached to this letter you will find a full
admissions package, including specific information on back-to-school supplies you will need.
I am looking forward to meeting you at Open House on Monday, July 24th, at 9:30 am. My classroom is in
Building 1, Room 39. I will be available in the classroom from 8am to 4pm if you need to stop in other than the scheduled
time. There will be important papers to sign, dismissal/carpool information, an opportunity to meet other students in our
class, and I will show you where to line up on the first day of school. Please complete and print the Open House Forms
online and bring the completed forms to Open House. You may bring your supplies to the classroom during Open House. I
will also be collecting $10.00 for a planner and Scholastic magazine subscription paid for in cash or with a check made out
the EDUPRIZE. Bringing everything to Open House will help avoid having to carry everything in on the first day of school.
The first day of school is Wednesday, July 26th. Students must be on time and present on the first day, for a
full day of school, to be considered enrolled at EDUPRIZE. Please check our website at eduprizeschools.net for
any possible changes. On the first day of school, I will meet the students outside on the sidewalk by the playground at
7:50 a.m. Our class is Village 1 and the schedule is Monday – Thursday 7:50 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. and on Friday, 7:50 a.m. –
11:20 a.m. Once again, congratulations. I am looking forward to the start of the year so that we may begin our journey of
discovery, team building, learning, and success. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
Miss Emily Boffa
