Please refer to Bangladesh Bank PSD Circular No. -04/2013 dated
26th November 2013) and remain aware of Cheque Frauds (like
fake cheque, signature fraud, alternation in cheques MICR Line) –
Only Positive Pay Confirmation is the solution.
Positive pay can secure your money in the bank account and
prevent unauthorized withdrawal of money.
As per Bangladesh Bank Instructions, we/Bank will require your
confirmation for cheques (means Bank Alfalah’s Cheque) received
in clearing for payment to other bank’s client:
- for amount exceeding TK100,000/- and above (for
Corporate, Company & Proprietorships) and
- TK 500,000/- and above for personal accounts drawn on
Bank Alfalah Limited.
In case positive pay instruction is not received, bank may return
the cheque with the reason “Advice not Received”.
Customers are requested to cooperate to safeguard their own
interest by providing the written letter/Email/SMS to us before the
arrangement of cheque payment to your concern.
