Bounce Forward to Resilience
Learn how to increase resilience and lower stress. The more resilient you are, the better prepared you are to
handle change, challenge and adversity. Charmaine Hammond defines resilience as the ability to bounce
forward (not back) during change and challenge. You will learn practical strategies to build resilience at home,
and at work.

Building Family Resilience
Now more than ever, the skill of resilience will help children cope with their current situation and be better
prepared to handle life challenges and change that occur. You will learn the warning signs to alert you when
resilience is compromised, the importance of a resilient mindset and how to teach this to children, how to use
“resilient language”, and, practical activities to boost resilience.

Resolving Conflict at Home
Conflict is part of life … at home, work and school. Conflict often increases during change and high stress
situations. This workshop will provide practical steps to communicate for success, resolve conflict and rebuild
relationships and trust in the family.

Communicating for Success – dealing with difficult
conversation
Conflict and difficult conversations happen… they are part of life. Whether it be providing feedback, navigating
through sensitive conversations, or addressing disagreement and conflict, there is a way to make these
dialogues less stressful and more effective. This workshop will provide practical steps to communicate for
success, resolve conflict and rebuild relationships and trust and respect.

Moving forward: acknowledging the first year after
the fire and moving forward
In this workshop you will learn new ways to cope with moving forward, how to create new traditions and
honour the past, and making plans for a positive future. This workshop will also provide activities that
parents can do with their children to help them feel hopeful and resilient about the future.
