Dear Prospect,
The Post 12 Summer Baseball Program has a rich history of developing players and
providing a solid opportunity for advanced competition in the tri-states area. Each coach
that has been over the program has opportunities to continue or change the direction of the
program according to his vision for the program. Through coaches meetings, some scouting
and/or seeing you develop over the years in recreational league, travel and school ball, you
have been selected as an invitee for the Summer of 2017.
Once you accept our invitation, you can expect to receive quality training , a
competitive game schedule and plenty of reps to mature your mental and physical baseball
abilities. Our younger teams will have the opportunity to play together in years to come and
develop a bond that will carry them far beyond any playing career. We have sent this letter,
knowing that everyone will not take advantage, to 25 players in your age group that we have
identified as being athletically gifted with good character. We can only take the first 16
that commit which means that, if everyone wants to accept, some really good players are
going to be left out.

Dedication to Development of Players
Dothan Post 12 is a baseball organization dedicated to the individual development of each
player. Our entire program is designed with that in mind. Our coaching staff and training staff will
ensure quality training and playing experience for all of our athletes.
Coaching Staff vs Training Staff
At Post 12 Baseball, each member of our staff has disctinct a job. Our coaching staff is
responsible for all on game manangment, while our training staff is responsible for the day to day
physical and technical development of each athlete. This seperation ensures a focused plan for
development of our athletes.
Playing and Training Schedule
Our schedule follows a basic outine. Our preseason training takes place in late April and
early May, with games beginning in Late May. Once the season starts, each team will play weekend
tournaments with a few weekday games. During the week, each player will follow their own
scheduled individual development plan.
A sample (in season) week is outlined below
Friday – Sunday ( Tournament Games )
Monday – All pitchers report to our indoor facility for their rehab / conditioning work with
their pitching coach.
Tuesday – All hitters report to our indoor facility for their batting training with their hitting
coach. Position players will also report to either the indoor facility or the field for position specific
training.
Wednesday – All pitchers report to the indoor facility for pitching instruction and light
bullpens with their pitching coach. Catchers also report to the indoor facility for position specific
work (Other Position Players have this day off)
Thursday – All hitters report to our indoor facility for their batting training with their hitting
coach. Position players will also report to either the indoor facility or the field for position specific
training.
