DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Administrative Officer of the UN Office in Belgrade (UNOB), the driver
provides driving services to the Head of the UN Office in Belgrade and other senior officials during their visit to
Belgrade. The incumbent shall promote a client-oriented, high quality and result-oriented approach working in
collaboration with the UNOB staff. The incumbent shall establish and maintain collaborative rapport with other
UN employees, UN agencies in the country, as well external stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the following:

Provide driving services to Head of UN Office in Belgrade and other UN senior officials to various
locations within the mission area.

Conduct daily maintenance of vehicle fleet and equipments to ensure an efficient level of cleanliness and
serviceability.

Ensure that the necessary maintenance and repair of the vehicles and equipments meet the highest
standards of safety and emergency preparedness.

Maintain appropriate dress code and high level behavioral conduct suitable for diplomatic community
during daily assignments.

Identify and familiarize with credible heavens areas, i.e. police stations, hospitals, government facilities
and hotels, in case of emergency.

Meet senior officials and facilitate border formalities during arrival / departure, when necessary.

Provide assistance with delivery of confidential or other official documentation to various embassies or
consulates, government offices, UN agencies as required.

Carry out any other administrative duties as required.
COMPETENCIES:
Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect diversity. Communication: Good interpersonal and
oral and written communication skills in English and Serbian. Technological Awareness: Good technical skills
and working knowledge of specialized communication equipments, such as UHF/VHF and satellite
communication devices. Computer literate with working knowledge of MS applications, Lotus Notes and Web:
Ability to identify clients' needs and appropriate solutions; ability to establish and maintain productive partnership
with clients. Planning and Organizing – Demonstrate effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in
an efficient and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience and possession of category “B” or “C” driver’s license.
Possession of First Aid certified training is necessary. Practical experience in VIP driving procedures,
defensive techniques and motorcade protocol is essential.
LANGUAGES:
Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to communicate in any of the local languages, Albanian and/or
Serbian.
