Player Commitment
I hereby pledge to follow this Player Commitment.








I will play for the fun of it, not to please parents or coaches
I will play by the rules
I will never argue with or complain about the Referee’s call or decisions.
I will control my temper and most of all, resist temptations to retaliate
I will concentrate on playing Football and on affecting the outcome of the game with my best effort. I
will work equally hard for my team and myself.
I will be a good sport by cheering on all good plays, whether they are my team’s or my opponent’s.
I will treat all players the way I would like to be treated.
I will cooperate with my teammates, coaches, team parents, opponents and the referees.
SPORTSMANSHIP IS: MORAL BEHAVIOR IN SPORT
There is more to sportsmanship than simply being nice. You also have to understand why some actions are
right or wrong. Sportsmanship is a learned behavior. It does not happen by itself.
NOTE: In order to participate in the WBFL, this form must be signed and dated by each player. Failure to do
so will automatically render the player ineligible to participate in league. In addition, by signing this Player
Commitment, players pledge to abide by the guidelines set forth above and to conduct themselves in an
appropriate manner. Failure to abide by this Player Commitment, or violation of any of the guidelines set
forth above, will automatically render the player unable to participate or attend any league-sponsored
events. The West Boynton Football League, Inc. Board of Directors has the sole right to enforce violations;
however, the player may appeal through the Disciplinary Appeal Process.
