What is the CFC Office Challenge?
The CFC Office Challenge is a fun, friendly competition of teams of 8 coworkers. Each team will have
the chance to show off their skills in events ranging from the ever challenging “In the Mug” rubber
band shooting competition to the endurance laden coffee mug marathon (no real endurance needed It’s more like a walk across the room, less like a run across town ).
The total challenge will last about 45 minutes and will be set up TVA East Tower Library. Most
events will give you a minute to show what you are made of, but all are timed. The winning team will
take home the CFC Gold Medal! However, the team who completes all of the events the fastest will
take home the CFC Office Challenge trophy (to be proudly displayed despite everyone’s envy at your
team’s sheer office athleticism)
How do you participate?
Participation is easy! Simply find 7 co-workers or TVA friends (for a team of 8), and register with your
SBU Coordinators or on Tuesday, September 11 from 11:30 - 1:00 in the WT Plaza Lobby.
The event costs $2.00 per person.
What if i want to participate but don’t have enough people for a team?
Register anyways! We will be happy to find a team for you.

Here is a sneak peak at your challenges - Good Luck!
“Coffee Break” - Ready for a coffee run? Then you and your teammates will be perfect for this relay! You and
another team of eight will hurry to see who can fill their cup up to the fill line first! Did we mention you’d be
filling it up with a small cup???
“This Blows” - Alright, who’s the vocal one in the bunch? This player gets to show their stuff by blowing all the
cups off a table using only a filled balloon. Oh yeah, and you have a minute to complete this challenge!
“Cascading Down” - Don’t they always?! In this challenge an individual from your team gets to knock down
“pins” to score points for the team.
“Brownie Points” - How many points can you rack up to win favor in the eyes of your teammates? A player from
your team gets the chance to shine by dropping a ping pong ball into a cup...easy right?!
“What Happens at the Water Cooler...” - stays at the water cooler, right? Well, maybe! Can you flick a rubber
band in a coffee mug? You’ll have a minute to see how many will stay!
“It’s Nothing Personal, Just Good Business” - Get six players on your team to go against another six and see
who gets down to business best. Two teams of two (rotate through the six team members) work to get their
team’s paper wad into the opposing team’s waste basket in one minute.
“Organizational Chain” - Organizations can get jumbled all the time but one person from your team can get it all
back in order. Should you accept this challenge, you will have one minute to unhook a pile of multi-colored
paper clips and re-hook them in a single colored sequence line. This may be easier said than done!
“Pass the Buck” - Of course, none of us would ever do that, but in the spirit of office games we thought we’d try
it. A team of 2 works to pass a paper wad on Notepads to each other without crossing a line. At the end of the
line one must successfully get the paper wad in to the basket or go back to the line. Since you will be
competing with another team, the first team to get eight wads in the basket (or the most in a minute) wins.
Easy as waiting on 5 o’clock, right?!
