The Kids Fun Factory: Monday and Tuesday (see other document)
Our programs combine a unique blend of educational curriculum-based activities
and fun, team-oriented learning. We promote learning by doing creating a sense of
accomplishment and success. All this, while reinforcing concepts that the kids learn
during the regular school year!
JR. ENGINEERS: Our young engineers will investigate various science
concepts through hands-on use of materials. They will apply this information to
work in groups, solving various engineering challenges. The students will build
wooden motorized cars; learn about buoyancy, flight, bridges and structures,
electricity and more. They will take home their own motorized car!
SPACE ADVENTURE: On our journey, we’ll discover the planets
focusing on one or two each week. Through interactive discussions, hands-on
activities and science experiments we will uncover Mars’ surface, understand
gravity, learn why Uranus is a mystery planet and much more.
ACTIVE KIDS ZONE:
Active Kids programs encourage children to be their best. Our sports programs
promote teamwork and fair play, and allow kids to play their favourite games in a
fun, non-competitive environment.
All Sports – JK-SK – Monday – 3:30 – 4:45 - $86.00 – Min 10/Max 18
This program gives children a chance to learn and play different sports each week.
Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Dodgeball, Relays, and many other games will be played
throughout the session. Emphasis will be placed on practicing skills and working
together as a team to have fun and get a great workout. .
Soccer Mania – Grade 1 – 3 – Tuesday – 3:30 – 4:45 - $86.00 – Min 10/Max 25
Offered indoor or outdoor, Soccer Mania teaches students the fundamentals of
soccer. This exciting program will emphasize teamwork and fair play, in a non-
competitive, fun and exciting atmosphere. Each class will consist of fun, skill
improving drills, and plenty of game time.
ACT ONE PRODUCTIONS: - The Wizard of Oz
Act One Productions has taken Toronto by storm as the premiere musical theatre
program for children in our area. Under the expert Direction of Alex Moses and
David Goldberg, Act One has become known for the place children want to be after
school”. Whether your child is a hockey buff, baseball buff or has the love of the arts,
Act One caters to the needs of every child by creating amazing musical productions
leaving children craving for more. Act One is now active in many schools across the
GTA. Act One has found that through the magic of theatre, children gain much
needed confidence and integration skills that are vital to a child’s development.
Children learn about acting, singing, staging, dance and the importance of working
with others in an unbelievable environment.
CREATED BY ME:
Not your typical arts and crafts program. We will teach you to design and create
your own beads for jewelry making, sew, decorate cupcakes, decoupage, and much
much more. Please advise of any allergies regarding cupcake deocarating!
CHESS CLUB:
This is a Chess Program for Kids of All Ages! The program is aimed at helping
children develop:
• Logical Thinking
• Concentration
• Problem Solving
• Strategic Planning
• Visual Memory
• Decision Making
• Fun and Enjoyment for the Game
Instructors of the program have 20 years experience teaching in schools across the
GTA and Vaughan such as Upper Canada College and Bishop Strachan, Associated
Hebrew, Henderson, Giles, Crescent, Royal Crest Academy and others.
The instructors provide all supporting materials, such as chess boards and sets,
demonstration boards and pieces, ribbons, medals, and trophies, as well as material
photocopied and handed out to each student for reviewing.
iCompute Learning Centre Inc.:
iCompute specializes in a variety of creative computer programs for children ages 612. We offer cooperative-based Technology programs that are all hands-on, include
live demonstration and instruction by our expert, energetic staff.
Animation
Step aside Walt Disney, here you come! Using colored clay and your unique
imagination, the opportunity to create your very own animated characters, scenes
and stories is endless. You’ll be taught to use stop motion technology and cutting
edge computers to bring your story and everything in it to life.
Video Game Creator
Watch out EB Games…… iCompute’s Video Game workshop will produce some great
game makers! Students will have the opportunity to work with talented instructors
and our high end software to put their creativity to the test. Sound hard? It’s actually
the complete opposite, first time users would have no problem creating a fun and
exciting game. Over the 8-weeks, students will have the chance to create two games,
their own CD covers and then we’ll put it all together to take home.
MAD SCIENCE:

SYSTEM #4
Students test their forensic skills as they become super sleuths in our Detective
Science class. We explore the amazing world of insects, learning how these
fascinating creatures live. Each child will construct a propeller driven race car as
they learn about the power of mighty machines. We raise the curtain on the
mysteries of movie making and special effects. Students explore the wild world of
weather, investigating the power of wind, thunder, lightning and make an Ultra
Violet light sensitive keychain.

ARTISTIC WAY: Fun With Clay
Artistic Way is a community based Art School and Make Your Own Ceramic
and Glass Studio. Our mandate is to introduce families, adults, teens and children
to the enriching world of art and self-expression through art making in a positive,
creative and healthy environment.
