Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Semi-finals Finals Sunday, 16 October Completed by Sunday, 13 November Completed by Sunday, 20 November Completed by Sunday, 27 November Sunday, 4 December Sunday, 11 December ENTRIES MUST BE LODGED AT THE PRO SHOP Entries will close on Wednesday, 12 October 2016 or when fully subscribed Entries will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis The draw for round 1 will be posted in the clubhouse and on the website from Thursday 13 October 2016 The 2016 Match Play Tournament will adhere to the above schedule and no exceptions will be granted Spring 2016 Men’s Match Play Competition Rules Following member’s feedback from earlier in 2016, the following enhancements will operate for this Spring 2016 tournament. - The tournament will be conducted over eight weeks and rounds 2, 3 and 4 can be played on any day of the week (to be organised by the two opposing players), and must be concluded by the schedule above. - The first named player in the draw is responsible for arranging the match for flexible rounds 2, 3 and 4. If the second player is unavailable according to the schedule above, player 1 will advance on forfeit. If player 1 does not arrange the match or also is unavailable during the schedule above, player 2 will then advance on forfeit. If both players are unavailable, the winner of the corresponding bracket will proceed on a bye. - To encourage participation of golfers across the full range of handicaps, tournament organisers will divide entries into two even pools. For the first round of the tournament lower markers will be drawn against lower markers and higher markers will be drawn against higher markers. For every round thereafter, the winners from each match shall play off to move onto the next rounds. Terms and Conditions for Participation 1. 2. 3. The match play index will be the only applicable index for this competition. The match play draw will be available as per the schedule above, otherwise flexible arrangements between competitors apply. Participants must be available to play according to the schedule. Competition Details - Please collect your match play card from the pro shop at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time. Please use your daily handicap in conjunction with golflink and course slope rating. Competitors will have shots on holes according to the match play index located on the back of the scorecard. - - Competitors will record a win, half or loss on a hole against their opponent until all available holes expire for the match e.g. win 3 up with 2 holes to play or 3&2 In the event of a squared (drawn) match after 18 holes, competitors will proceed to the first hole and continue playing until one player wins a hole. Immediately upon completion of the match, the winner must either record the result on the draw in the Spike Bar or Proshop, or if an Event Coordinator is available advise them of the result. After Round 1, those players who lost their first match, will then revert to the Matt Millar Plate event, and continue through that draw. Good luck
