(Excludes November Christmas Market)

Our Market includes:
a. A 10’x10’ covered space – no tent required!
b. Free on-site parking. You can pull up and park right next to your space!
c. Free electricity. (110V with a 20 amp breaker)
d. Central location with easy access for patrons and vendors.
e. Clean, on-site restrooms.
f. A chance to promote your work by donating a piece to our door prize drawing.
Important Note: Please be aware that the pavilion is covered but still technically an outdoor
space. You may be subject to hot or cold temperatures, and there is often a stiff wind that can
knock displays down if not secured properly.
Mandatory Vendor Standards
All vendors accepted into the Canal Market District Arts and Craft Market MUST meet the
standards listed below. If you cannot meet these standards your application will not be
accepted into the market.
1. Vendors must be located in Ohio.
2. All products must be assembled by the applicant. No kits, commercial molds, or buyresell merchandise will be accepted.
a
You may accessorize your booth with manufactured goods, but accessories must
be marked as “Not For Sale.”
b You may use manufactured pieces as a part of your merchandise, but you must
refurbish, improve, or otherwise add to them in order to qualify for this market.

3. The priority application deadline is April 1st, and applications received before this date
will be reviewed by April 15th. However, additional applications will be reviewed on a
rolling basis throughout the season.

4. All vendors must complete set-up by 10:00 am and must remain open until 3:00 pm.
Failure to comply may result in revocation of space at future markets.

Tear down must be completed by 4:30 pm. Vendors are responsible for entire cleanup of
your booth space. Failure to comply may result in space revocation.
6. Booth space is not transferable without permission.
7. Displays and merchandise must stay within the assigned 10’x10’ space. Please be
considerate and leave a small aisle way between your booth and your neighbor and make
sure your space is fully secured with no tripping hazards in the walkways.
8. Vendors are responsible for all of their own display items and merchandise.
9. Open flames are not permitted.
10. Checks returned for non-sufficient funds will incur a $35.00 fee and may result in loss of
space.
11. Cancellations received within 7 days of contract date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations received after the 7 day window will not receive a refund.
12. A “no-show” (not attending without prior notice) impacts the entire market negatively.
As a result, you will go to the bottom of the waitlist for future markets if you no-show or
cancel less than 24 hours before the market begins. Exceptions may be made on a caseby-case basis.
13. Payment is due at least two weeks prior to the market date. In order to reserve a space for
the full season, you must pay the full amount up front in order to guarantee a space.
14. If payment is not received by the deadline, then the booth space may be released to those
on our waiting list.
15. Material misrepresentation is grounds for immediate expulsion from fair without refund
of fees paid.
16. During the market, please report questionable, unusual, illegal or dangerous behavior and
activity to the staff immediately.

17. The Canal Market District will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, defacement
or destruction of any property displayed by the Vendor no matter how it is caused. This
also includes Personal Injury. The Canal Market District provides no insurance on the
Vendor or against the acts or omissions of the Vendor, its agents or employees. All
insurance for personal property, public liability and personal injury is the responsibility
of the Vendor.
18. You must have a Transient Vendor’s License from the state of Ohio in order to
participate in the festival. There is a $25 fee for this license. You can find it online at

19. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
20. Failure to comply with the above terms and conditions may result in dismissal from the
event without refund of fees paid

the season if spaces are available. All applications are kept on file. All Committee decisions are final and
