Introduction to Adobe Connect: Poll Pod
A great way to engage your attendees is by asking
questions. The Poll Pod is designed to facilitate this type
of engagement. By default, the Poll Pod is provided in the
Discussion Layout. To add a Poll Pod to any layout, click
on Pods>Poll>Add New Poll
There are three different types of polls
available. To select the type of question
you’d like to pose, click the drop down at
the upper left of the Poll Pod.

Multiple Choice – attendees are
able to select a single answer per
question.

Multiple Answer – attendees are
able to select multiple answers
per question.

Short Answer – attendees are able
to provide a free response short
answer to a question.
In order to pose a question to your attendees:

Enter the Question – click and enter the text for your question in the Question box.

Enter the Answer Choices – if creating a
Multiple Choice or Multiple Answer
question, enter the possible answer choices
by adding text in the Answer Box. Enter one
answer choice per line.

Open Poll- once you include your
question and answer text, you can open
the poll so that attendees can answer the
question.

Close the Poll- close the poll when
you’d like to stop attendees from
answering the question by clicking
the End Poll button.

View Votes – click the View Votes
button in the upper left portion of
the Polls Pod to see which attendees
answered

Broadcast Results- check off the
Broadcast results checkbox in the
bottom right of the Poll Pod to allow
attendees to see results.

Edit – you can edit the question and answer choices by clicking the Edit button in
the upper right of the Poll Pod.

Saving and Reopening Polls- once a poll
has been created, you can Hide the poll
for future use by click the Pod Options
dropdown in the upper right corner of
the Poll Pod and selecting Hide. This
poll can later be reopened by going to
Pods>Polls> (select this poll).
