What’s on
Counselling. A service is run by Self Help
Services and runs from the centre on a Monday
and Tuesday. Please contact the centre for a

Sensory Room at Ardwick Children’s Centre an opportunity for parents and carers to relax
with their children in a calm, tranquil and multisensory environment.
The speech and language team give
information and advice about any aspect of
young children’s communication development
from birth to 5 years. They also run groups,
activities, Parent Workshops, and drop-in
sessions at Stay and Plays.
If you are interested in any ESOL Classes
please ask a member of staff within the centre.
Services with a star are term time only pick up your school holiday planner from reception, or
we can be email it to you.
Services with a sun have a crèche. Your
children can play and learn in a safe place whilst you
access this service. Crèche places are limited so
please book your place.

A six weekly crèche service for children whilst their
mums, dads and carers access services and support
their need. Please talk with your health visitor or a
Children’s Centre team member to apply for your
place.
We Offer WellComm Screening to all children who attend
the session, please speak to an outreach worker for more
information.
9 Month Healthy Child Programme Review
Weekly 9.30am – 12:00pm at Ardwick Children’s Centre
(by appointment only).
2 Year Healthy Child Programme Review
1:30pm – 3:00pm at Ardwick Children’s Centre (by
appointment only).

Getting To Know My Community

It's aimed at helping and supporting local parents in
finding out what’s going on in the community and
encouraging them accessing local services. Also it
involves trip out to museum, using transport to
explore the community etc..

Starting Monday 15th March.14 week sessions for mums,
dads and carers of children 2-4 years who want to learn
positive parenting strategies. Talk with a member of the
Children’s Centre team or contact CAP’s on 0161 701 6859.
Outreach Drop-in Session
1pm - 3pm Information & signposting service for
families living in Ardwick. Including benefit, housing
and information about local services.
Healthy Child Drop-in (for children 0 to 5 years)
1:30pm - 3pm at Ardwick Children’s Centre. Your
health visiting team will give advice and support about
your child’s health and development
Infant Feeding Group
1:00pm – 3:00pm Come and talk with other parents
and members of the Infant Feeding Team to gain
awareness and support you may need.

Antenatal Parent Education Class
1pm - 2pm at Ardwick Children’s Centre
By appointment only.

common difficulties such as depression, anxiety and
