The Opportunity
Ulton has multiple experiences for unpaid work experience in the role of Trainee
Accountant within our Superannuation team based in our Bundaberg office. Ulton has
been providing Superannuation administration services to our clients for more than 20
years. Your work experience placement within our specialised Superannuation team will
expose you to the preparation of quarterly interim financial statements where you will be
involved in the interim process from start to finish. During this time you will gain
practical application of your theoretical accounting knowledge, expand your
understanding of superannuation and investments, gain experience using different
accounting software and further refine your attention to detail and data entry skills.
Candidates interested in pursuing a career as an Accountant are encouraged to consider
this placement.
The placement opportunities will occur between Monday 12 October 2015 until Friday 20
November 2015. The individual placements, as negotiated with the successful candidate,
can extend from one full-time week to two consecutive full-time weeks.
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following
qualifications, skills and experience:
 Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting (or similar); OR within 12 months since
graduating from a Bachelor of Accounting (or similar); OR currently enrolled in
postgraduate Accounting studies; OR within 12 months since graduating from
postgraduate Accounting studies
 Previous work experience (any area)
 Exceptional customer service skills
 Good written and verbal communication skills
Unfortunately this opportunity does not extend to candidates currently enrolled in (or
recently completed) Certificate/Diploma level certifications.
