Spirit Week, Fall 2011 Thursday, November 17th to Wednesday, November 23rd Daily Festivities The Pep Rally and The Turkey Bowl There is no free dress. Uniform compliance is expected for students not participating. SPIRIT WEEK A Sutter Tradition November 17-23, 2011 Spirit Week is a traditional event here at Sutter M.S. Simply put, Gold Rush classes compete with each other and in combined teams (Blue vs. Gold) to see which Gold Rush classes have the most school spirit. Each day of Spirit Week, an event will take place at lunch, and each day is a themed dress up day. Gold Rush teachers are asked to encourage their students to participate in all activities. Points are given for participation and sportsmanship. For the judging of the day’s events, the Leadership class members will be politely interrupting your Gold Rush to count the number of students (and teachers) participating in the appropriate dress for each day. Each day, the competitions will be held on the outdoor stage area during both lunches. On Tuesday, November 22nd, there will be a pep rally in the auditorium. The blue and gold teams will be presented during both lunches. This year the Leadership Committee will be selling Blue and Gold spirit items. All events culminate Wednesday, November 23rd, with the Turkey Bowl, a flag football game between selected 8th grade Gold Rush students held on the P.E. field. We have a special schedule for this day. Attached is the Spirit Week schedule. Please post the schedule onto the wall in your room.
