Show FAQ’s
What clothing is required for most shows?
Clothing: Breeches- buff, natural, or canary colors are preferred, Paddock or tall boots, Show
shirt or Button up collard shirt, some shows allow polo shirts.
What are the lesson requirements to be eligible to show?
Lessons: Starting in 2014 all lesson students who wish to show will have to be enrolled in
weekly show team lessons with Rebecca. These lessons will be available during the week as we
will be showing on the weekends. We will have barn / schooling shows this year for students
who are not quite ready to compete on the regular show team.
Do we have to lease a horse to be able to compete?
Non Lease Fees: Starting in 2014 anyone not currently leasing requiring a school horse to show
will be charged a lease fee of $35.00 per day in addition to coaching and trailering fees.
Can we practice out of lessons to get ready for shows?
Leasing and Practice Rides: Both are available on a limited basis each week for students who
have been approved to be eligible to ride unsupervised. Leasing is done by the month and
practice rides are scheduled each week.
Can we share a horse at shows?
Sharing a horse at a show: Only under certain circumstances can horses be shared the lease fee
and trailering will be split between all riders of the horse. Coaching fee still applies per rider.
