Finals - Eligible Players Players must have played three competition matches during the season for the team they are playing for in the Finals Series, including the grand final match. Byes/forfeits do not count for the purpose of determining three competition matches. Finals Series Round Robin format as follows for all competition teams with the exception of PL/WPL: Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 1v4 1v3 1v2 2v3 2v4 3v4 Grand Finalists shall be determined by the teams finishing 1st and 2nd on the Finals Series table. Where teams are equal on points, their position shall be decided by: goal difference. if goal difference is the same, then number of wins. if goal difference & number of wins are the same, then goals scored in the Finals Series. If still equal, it shall be the team that finished higher on the ladder in the regular season In Grand Finals where two teams are drawn at full time, ten (10) minutes each way extra time shall be played for all age groups, except for U12 where the extra time shall be five (5) minutes each way. Extra time will be played as golden goal. When a team scores a goal in extra time, the referee shall indicate the conclusion of the match and award the match to the team which scored the goal. If the match is drawn at the completion of extra time, a penalty shoot-out will take place. Only the players that were on at the field at the completion of extra time will be permitted to take part in the penalty shootout. No substitutions or interchanging of players will be permitted prior to the commencement of the penalty shoot-out, players are not permitted to leave the field during the period of the penalty shootout. Premier League Reserve Grade teams making the semi-finals are to provide SHFA with a list of players in their team so their eligibility to play in the Finals Series can be determined. Premier League players may be freely transferred between first grade and reserve grade, except for the final five (5) games of the Premiership Competition. For the final five (5) games of the Premiership Competition, those players who play in first grade three (3) of the final five (5) games will be ineligible to play in reserve grade for the balance of the season including all finals. 7/7/16
