Schedule 3rd yr: Read (look at Dan Olson’s clerkship reviews) Away Rotations: Start considering where to apply if interested Meet with Advisor pre-application process Late November - January: PRIME INTERVIEW SEASON Plan on Taking December and/or January off for interviews Sept: Watch for ERAS receipt by A300 & residencies Early Sept: submit ERAS, earlier=better; round up any lagging LOR’s Mid-Oct: Interview invites start coming in!! Nov 1: Dean’s MSPE out, the rest of invites come in the next couple weeks Take Step II CS & CK by early fall (UW requirement) Go to EMIG meetings: ask for clerkship advice Away Rotations: start applying early winter Schedule 4th yr: DECLARE interest in EM for priority on EM rotation(s) in June, July, or August (last rotations on residency app’s) Aug: Ask for LOR’s, finish Personal Statement & ERAS Dr. Mengert’s critically acclaimed EM elective Late February: Submit Rank Lists Mid-March: Match Day 3 weeks later Go to EMIG meetings: email questions to seniors & alumni about EM progs
