Three main research topics:
 How should public procurement procedures be developed to
promote innovation?
 How should innovative procurement projects be organized
and governed?
 What implications does this have for suppliers and their
business models?
What we have done so far:
 Identified innovative procurement projects and formed
agreements with C3 partners:
o Siemens: C3-1248 «IT arkitektur basert på globale standarder»
o Sykehuspartner: C3-1174 «Medicloud - Moderne plattform for
tjenesteinnovasjoner i helse»
 Both projects concern IT platforms, platform strategies and
procurment
 We’re in the process of hiring a postdoc. Prospective start
date: October 1st.
Plan forward
 In cooperation with postdoc and the rest of the BI-team:
develop specific research plans (summer/early fall):
o Plans for data gathering from partner projects on IT platforms (exploratory
research)
o Plans for theoretical and conceptual development
o Plans for gathering/compile primary/secondary quantitative data on public
procurement in the health sector for hypothesis testing
