Mining Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan was created at2006 in conformity
with decree of the President of Tajik Republic on the base of the former Central
Asian polytechnic college, Ministry of the Middle Mechanical engineering of the
USSR. The Institute is situated in the center of industrial town Buston
(Chkalovsk) where in 1945 the firstling of the atomic industry of the USSR
mining chemical integrated plant began to work. The Institute is a
multidisciplinary institution with a total of 2700 students for 2016/2017academic
year including 16 specializations, 17 departments and 3 faculties- 15 –chairs –
300 employees and 10 research laboratories. Its libraries contain 150.000
scientific literature – Electronic library contains more than 100,000 books.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
RAISE THE COMPETENCE OF UNIVERSITIES PARTNERS IN THE
FIELD OF MINING AND METALLURGICAL. AIMED AT
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
DESCRIPTION: The mining activities impact on the environment during production,
transportation and processing of mining ores distribution the local ecosystem and indirect
ecosystem close surrounding areas and even neighboring countries. Mining activity
contributes significantly to the national economy and partner countries.
But unfortunately nowadays manufacturers bring to market their products so it can
pass a plurality of processing stages. Air and soil pollution can lead to unavoidable
consequences for the population of the country, causing a variety of diseases, pollute nature,
kill animals and birds, the water will not be used at the home. Today certainly work is
underway on the minimization of harmful emissions in the production, measures are being
taken to ensure that production would be able to manufacture and apply a minimum of
damage taken innovative methods in this sphere. With great potential for economic growth
and highly skill human resources Tajikistan defines as an important partner for cooperation
with the European Unions.
Objective: The aim of this project is to contribute the improvement of the theoretical
approach of the mining industry and the environment development through of innovative
educational programs in the field of environmental protection and management of the mining
sector. With based on principles policy on the environmental protection of the European
Union. Accordingly this purpose, the main task this project is to improve the competence and
skills of higher education institutions in Tajikistan by providing innovative programs in the
field of environmental protection and management of the mining sector.
We are ready to participate and share our expertise and knowledge in order to:
- Promote student/staff mobility,
- Develop new study programs in, Human Sciences, Languages, electrical engineering, computer
control of electrical technologies, energy saving technologies, mining, oil and gas exploitation,
ecology, logistic, metallurgy, and other related fields.
- Develop our capacities in term of governance, quality, and create structure to promote the relation
between University and the labour world
- Especially, take part in education curricula’s development in energy saving technologies, project
management and any academia / industry collaboration activities.
SUMMARY OF THE OFFER
The aim of this project is to contribute the improvement of the theoretical approach of the
