Copperheads Need Host Families For Summer The Asheboro Copperheads have begun the host family recruitment process for the 2017 season. The Copperheads have developed a great host family network over the years and have a number of families who continue to host year after year. But even though we will be welcoming back many of the same host families for the 2017 season, we will also be in need of some new ones. Host families are asked to provide players will a clean, private place to sleep, plus shower and laundry facilities. It is mandatory for all players to obey house rules as established by the host families. Players are responsible for their own food and transportation. Host families can include players in family meals and activities when their schedules permit. Host families will also receive free general admission season passes for all members of their immediate family and may upgrade them to reserved seats at a discounted price. The Copperheads will also host a couple of outings for host families at the park, usually a cookout to start the season and a catered meal prior to a late-season game. Players are generally assigned to families at random, but families are allowed to request specific players and if requested attempts will be made to match players and families with similar interests and backgrounds. Families who are willing to host multiple players may be asked to host two players from the same school, although that is not always a necessity. If you were a host family in 2016 and plan to host again next summer, or if you’re interested In hosting for the first time, please send an email to either General Manager Max Kaufmann ([email protected]) or David Camp ([email protected]), or call Kaufmann (336-460-7018) with your intentions. ######
