Frisbee Basics
• Hold -usually fingers on bottom and thumb on the top
• Wrist action is very important do not use the whole
arm to throw it- snap the wrist like a wet towl
• Stand- usually stand sideways to the target
• If it is windy keep the frisbee low so the wind doesn’t
take It up hign
• Catch with 2 hands at first-pancake
Frisbee Golf
• The course will be marked by hoola hoops or a disc pole
• When throwing the frisbee the entire frisbee must be inside the
ring to count as being in -on the rim does not count
• To start the game at least 2 players will begin at a hole the
players will decide who goes first
• After the first throw the player who’s frisbee is furthest from the
hole will go next
Frisbee Golf
• When you are done with your hole add up your score
• Do not start the next hole until the group ahead of you is
completely done with the hole
• Each hole has a par awarded it. This means this is the average
throws it should take to complete the hole.
• So par 3 means what?
• Frissbee golf is a game anyone can play for a life time
• All students should keep track of their own score and turn it in to
the teacher at the end of the class
• Failure to do so will result in a loss of participation points for the
day

• The game of Ultimate started in Maplewood
New Jersey in 1968
• The game does not have any referees this is
deemed to be the “spirit of the game”
• It is a very popular game today the “Hot spot”
for Ultimate Frisbee is Boulder Colorado

Teamwork is essential-spread out so it is easier to throw
Short quick passes make it easier to get the frisbee down
the field
Ultimate Frisbee
• The objective of the game is to advance the frisbee down
the field to the other team’s endzone
• The frisbee must be thrown into the endzone not run
• Once you catch the frisbee you can not run with it you can
pivot but not run or step
• You must throw it not hand it off
• When the frisbee falls to the ground it becomes the other
teams frisbee
• If there is contact on the interception whoever initiates the
contact the other team gets the frisbee
