Admission Requirements



Proof of Education
o Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (if not a NWTC graduate, copy
of transcript will be required.)
Proof of Expertise
o Option A – Certified Medical Assistant or Registered medical Assistant. Does not need to
be current. Need to submit documentation of having taken and passed the certification
exam.)
o Option B – If never took the exam and not certified – 6 years or 6,000 work hours as a
Medical Assistant required. (Need to have employer complete verification of
employment form.)
Proof of Work Experience
o Worked at least 3,000 hours in the last 3 years (Need to have employer complete
verification of employment form.)
