Shock Match Play tournament
May 27th – August 27th, 2017
Format:
Four-Ball Match Play Scratch: Pick your own partner. Two partners play their better ball against
the better ball of two other partners.
Handicaps:
All teams seeded by the combined handicap indexes according to USGA guidelines as of Sunday,
May 15th. Then the tournament is played as a Scratch Event.
Schedule:
Pairings will be posted Wednesday, May 24th on the bulletin board in the golf shop. The first
match must be played by Sunday, June 25th. Each subsequent match must be played by the date
specified on the match play sheet. The final match must be played by Sunday, August 27th. No
extensions will be permitted.
Tees:
Play is from the Black Tee Markers – Individuals over the age of 65 may play from the Green Tee
Markers.
Rules:
USGA rules will govern all play, except as amended by the local rules listed on the back of the
scorecard.
Prizes:
Trophies will be awarded to the winning team.
Entry fee:
$20 per team.
